Julia went above and beyond - she far exceeds my expectations of a doula. She is simply amazing! Transitioning to motherhood can be so overwhelming, but my husband and I are so glad to have Julia support and guide us through our new journey as we would be lost without her. Julia is truly remarkable - she’s so genuine and resourceful. We can’t wait to have Julia support us again in the future. Our only regret is not booking her sooner!

I was so fortunate to have Julia as my birth and Postpartum Doula! Leading up to the birth, Julia made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed around her. She really listened to what I had to say, and she allowed me to voice the concerns and fears that I was having. She guided my husband and I while we made a birth and postpartum plan. Knowing that birth is unpredictable, the plan allowed us to all be on the same page, working as a team. Julia was the best birthing coach I could have asked for. She was by my side the entire time (which is what I needed) working together with my husband. She offered continuous support, cheered me on and gave me the confidence that I needed. She reassured me that I was capable, she massaged my lower back, she positioned me on the birth ball, she hydrated me, she nourished me, she encouraged me, she believed in me. She worked with my husband and gave us our space at just the right time. The list goes on and on! Because of Julia, I was empowered to have a natural water birth... and that’s exactly what I had. It was because of her ongoing support, physical touch/ adjustments and genuine care that I had such an amazing birth. Julia’s sweet, loving and caring personality made her the right fit. I had a wonderful experience with Julia. She provided me with post-partum doula support while I recovered from a c-section birth. It was so nice to have Julia's help around the house with chores, meal preparation and baby care so that I could focus on resting, recovering and bonding with my baby. As a new mom I felt very comfortable with her and really appreciated her sharing her experience and knowledge about newborn care while also encouraging me to care for my newborn in my own way. Julia's warm, caring and friendly personality would be a good fit for a variety of clients. I would highly recommend Julia to anyone looking for post-partum doula services!

This review has been a long time coming. Let me start by saying that as a first time mom, there are numerous things that cross your mind when you first find out you’re expecting, and so many questions that need answers, and who better than your doulah who is literally available to you 24/7? Julia has exceeded every expectation I had with her limitless support throughout my pregnancy. She is the sweetest human being and the kindest soul. The first time I met her, I immediately felt comfortable with her. You can really tell she’s passionate for what she does, and what more can you ask for? My partner and I are in a long distance relationship and Julia had really stepped in to be my support during those trying days, up and downs and everything else that would drive a pregnant woman insane while my partner wasn’t able. I honestly couldn’t do it without her. She was my voice during my labour and delivery when I could not speak for myself. There was one point in the pushing stage where my baby was starting to go into distress and monitoring my sons heart rate was getting a little difficult so the nurse had mentioned putting a monitor on my baby’s heart, and Julia KNEW that that was not what I wanted, but of course at that time, I couldn’t speak for myself. On top of that, they had mentioned that if the baby didn’t come out soon enough, they’d have to use forceps or a vacuum and Julia knew how much it meant to me that I didn’t have any interventions at all, so she guided me through my breathing and helped me get in control and focused on getting my son out, and at the end, we did it all naturally with no interventions! Which was extremely hard having a 10 pound 9 oz baby! But with Julia’s support through it all, I was able to have the birth that I wanted. And as I type this all out with my son in my arms, I can’t help but feel so much joy and gratitude towards her for being by my side for the most important day of my life to date. Thank you so much, Julia!

We had Julia for the home birth of our second child. She was excellent in helping me get my labour going, providing comfort, advice, and a calm environment for the birth, and with clean-up after the birth and follow-up care. We would highly recommend her. Her warm and open personality are well-suited to a variety of clients. She has a TENS machine which I found quite helpful in early labour and is also well-versed in setting up birthing pools and comfortable with water births. In addition, she took beautiful photos for us during the birth.

I highly recommend Julia as a birth doula - From the minute I met her, I felt comfortable with her. She has a calming presence which was so important during labor. I had a very quick labour and my baby was unintentionally born at home. Even though Julia was new to being a doula, she remained calm under the pressure and worked together with my husband to do what needed to be done. Her calming presence helped a potentially stressful situation to go smoothly and peacefully! Julia is responsible, punctual, and very dependable. She knew just when and how to massage in a way that eased my contractions. We were very happy to have Julia be a part of our daughter's birth.

My husband and I couldn’t have done it without Julia’s support. She was very calm and professional and it made all the difference for us as we are first time parents. Having Julia at home with us during the early stages of labor ensured that I was getting the help and attention needed while alleviating some stress off of my husband’s back. She was great at the hospital with me as it is always reassuring to have someone professional who is there to care for you not only physically but also emotionally. While the nurses and doctors are super professional, they are there to take care of you physically. Definitely recommend Julia as a birth doula!
