I feel very fortunate that our family had Jordan assisting us with the purchase of our new home and sale of our existing home. We entered the Real Estate market with the goal of finding our forever home first and then selling our current home. Jordan was great with setting up showings and helping us research prospective neighborhoods. His communication skills and responsiveness really helped us feel at ease during the stressful moments that come with buying and selling a home. Now the stressful part was going to begin with needing to sell our current house ASAP. We saw our dream home on Friday, had our offer accepted Saturday and Sunday Jordan already had people ready to see our house. He had clients who he had shown the pictures to several weeks in advance and they were very interested in our home. Jordan displayed a high level of integrity allowing us to negotiate a sale of our home with those clients on that same Sunday. I feel like we had an absolute dream experience when it came buying a new home while having to sell our current home. We bought the house we wanted and it's all thanks to Jordan! We met Jordan by complete fluke, after he showed us a place on behalf of the seller. We were cycling through a few different agents at the time and when we met Jordan we immediately clicked, despite him being on the other side of the table. We got to know each other a little more through the showing and he went out of his way to organize a few meet-ups afterwards to really understand our situation (preferences, non-negotiables, styles, price range, etc.) with no pressure to retain /sign up. Throughout our 4 month hunt in a hot housing market, Jordan was patient and extremely organized; he knew when to push us in decision making and when to advise us to walk away and understand value. If you like spreadsheets and statistics, then Jordan is your guy. As a numbers guy, I wanted to make sure I understood all options, communities, price ranges, and transaction metrics on a regular basis and Jordan was always prepared. A key thing we looked for in an agent was market insight, which surprisingly many agents claim to have but don't really; Jordan is the opposite. He is very plugged in to the communities, and knows the word on the street that beats agents who just pull permits and documentation to regurgitate information and aren't privy to the red flags (bad neighbors, talk of new developments, poor maintenance by the city etc.). At the end of the day, we got the house we wanted that checked all the boxes (and more!) in a community most people never really heard of in inner-city (6 min to DT!) for a killer deal (thanks Jordan for the awesome negotiating!), but we also walked away with great friend and a future partner for when it's time for a change or a second property. 11/10, we'd recommend Jordan any day!

After months of perusing the housing market online in ‘20-‘21, we decided to take the plunge last September to visit some open houses. We had been in conversations with different agents but decided to visit an open house without a representative – enter Jordan Smeaton. Although representing the seller at the time, he was able to show us the house, showcase his knowledge of the market, neighbourhoods of Calgary, even share his connections of local contractors/renovation information. I think the best part was that Jordan shared how this was now the second home of his seller that he was selling, and that his sellers become life-long friends… and we can attest to that! Fast-forward a few weeks, Jordan went out of his way to reach out and connect with us to understand our needs and if he could help in any way without bringing any of the pressure to use him as an agent (but of course we did). Naturally, Jordan tailored our experience and search based on the obvious non-negotiables, preferences, price range, etc - but was also able to glean information about us such as our style, overlooked lifestyle needs/wants, and our future needs just by spending time with us. In such a hot market, we were increasingly concerned with how fast houses were selling and cautious to avoid any bidding wars. Jordan eloquently walked us through the entire process from start to finish, pushing when needed and teaching us about market value/when to walk away. A short two months later, we were able to negotiate a killer deal on our dream house in inner-city that checked all the boxes and we wouldn’t have been able to do this without him! We have shouted from the rooftops about you Jordan; you are effortlessly talented, a seasoned professional, and truly just a beaut of a human who strives to find the best for his clients. We can’t wait to have you over for wine in our new backyard once the summer finally is here to stay!

Jordan knows his stuff!! Between knowing the neighborhoods and developers in the city, while balancing the style and wants of the buyer, he knows how to find the perfect home. He was patient with our needs and made sure that we were getting into a house that we'll want to stay in. There are a lot of good agents to choose from in Calgary, but would 100% recommend Jordan if you want someone who will be there through the purchase and after!
