It was a great hike, needed crampons as there is lots of ice. Beautiful conservation area.

COYOTES This trial is amazing, parking is blocked unfortunately so we park much further to walk there. Watch out for coyotes, as there’s a den. Multiple coyote attacks on dogs recently - possibly due to the increase of irresponsible visitors leaving litter. Try to keep your dog close to you, and being a whistle or garbage bag to create sounds if you do see one or a pack.

Joker Hill Trail is right by Bathurst Street, very close to residential area of Newmarket and provides ample space for parking up to about 20 cars. It's a nice wooded area with trails that can conntect to the trails of the very popular Thorton Bales Conservation Area (aka. 99 steps).

Great up and down trail all whilst surrounded by beautiful forest! It's fairly slippery in the winter, but just bring proper footwear. Great place to walk your dog. No bathrooms or any buildings, but path is well marked with signs. We did the loop that was about 3.5 km long.

Wonderful park grounds for a walk, ride or run. Varying trails and level of challenge, an easy walk or climb a hill to get the heart rate pulsing. Heavily treed with wide trails, and enough area for a great hike. The parking at the East entrance is limited, so be prepared to wait a while for a spot, or drive around a bit.

This is great trail to walk. Depending upon snow conditions, it can be tricky to navigate the narrow parking lot. Be smart and safe when exiting the lot back onto Bathurst. Lot doesn't get plowed in my experiences.

Surprisingly nice trail that’s quite easy to get to. Went for a family stroll and did a 3.5 km stroll in about an hour. It’s an easy hike, but there’s the odd log, tree root and stone so not suitable for a wheelchair or those with difficulty walking. There’s some steep grades at times, so do t expect a fully flat trail. There’s beautiful patches of trilliums littered across huge swathes of the area, just beautiful! And some interesting looking trees and features. Note that there isn’t a ton of parking so it’s best to avoid mid day. Very enjoyable little stint!

I'm not sure why the parking lot is opened at 9 AM. People are definitely here before that time. There is decent amount of parking. It's not a traditional parking lot of lanes/lines. Lots of spots under a tree for shade. The lot is a long narrow strip with one in and out.
