★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time at John Kenneth. I grew my hair for over a year and was anxious to get my hair cut. I was put with the stylist Michelle. I showed her a picture and explained how I wanted my hair. I asked for my bangs to be half way down my nose and for my cut to be longer than the pic.
She totally disregarded what I had said and did what she wanted. My bags are down to my chin and she cut the rest, inches shorter, than what I asked for. Very upset with the result. Will not be returning.

I booked at another salon earlier in the day and found myself nearly in tears when she finished. My hair was much shorter than we agreed upon ans the cut was uneven and lacked shape. I was really reluctant to go elsewhere to get it fixed, but I am so glad I did! The entire staff there were extremely helpful and made me feel instantly welcome. They remained professional and assured me that it could be fixed. The owner of the salon was able to fit me in at the end of her day (which she stayed late for) and turned my nightmare haircut into something I actually liked! I absolutely could not recommend this salon more and I am happy to say I have found my salon for all my future hair care.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went into this salon to buy some Kevin Murphy product and was totally ignored by the staff. Stood at the counter for over 5 minutes waiting to buy items and ended up putting it all back and walking out. Poor customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you have curly hair you won’t be disappointed with Mel. When I decided to transition to my natural curl Mel was fully on board with me. She does a great “dry cut” that allows my curls to go to their potential. I had considered going to an Edmonton salon that catered to curly hair but decided to try Mel first. I’ve gone back since the first cut and had the same awesome results and I will continue to go back for sure as it’s hard to find someone who really understands curls! Really and truly this girl knows what she’s doing!!!
