About Jerusalem Shawarma - Westsprings
Our roots started in Palestine when our grandfather started this restaurant business in the middle of last century in a village in Palestine. With the great passion he had for food and its varieties, he developed about unique recipes to ensure customer satisfaction.
My grandfather’s restaurant provided the residents of the village with fresh ethnic foods such as hummus, falafel, beef and chicken shawarma. Jerusalem shawarma & Bakery is the result of the grandfather experience in Palestinian cuisine.
By using the grandfather’s recipes, we are able to offer the exceptional taste to all our customers.We are located at #301, 16 Ave NW, Calgary. Our generous members are ready to welcome you in and offer great food and warm hospitality for dine-in or serve you for either take-out or catering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My siblings and I live in BC and our Mother lives in Calgary. Today was her birthday and this place is her absolute favorite, so we wanted to Uber order it to her as a surprise. The staff did an amazing job ?? it was absolutely delicious, as always, but they also threw in a treat and even wrote "Happy birthday! ♥️" on the container. I can't tell you how much it meant to have those thoughtful details when we couldnt be there for her birthday. Whoever you are, you made today so much better. Thank you! ?

If I'm running late after work and have a long drive this the best fast-food joint for this vegan- located @ west 85th street sw.?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure how my previous reviews were taken down but after many years this place still has poor service and inconsistent portion sizes. That being said the quality of food is good, they use quality Ingredients and that does count for something. My last two times going here I was the only customer in the store and still took 15+ minutes to get my wrap. I even found that ordering in advance online made no difference as they did not start thinking about my order till I was there. Waiting 20+ minutes for an online order with no one at the restaurant is ludicrous. Constant confusion around who ordered what, saying no but being interpreted as yes. Staff talking rather than helping. Sometimes you will get a warp with so much parsley you are wonder if you will ever taste anything ever again, other times it feels like you got half the portion inside of a regular wrap. Some staff training would go far here, until then I can only hope for better competition near by one day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've ordered from this location a couple of times now. The first time it wasn't anything special but it was fine. This time they didn't read the comments and put cheese on my salad and bread right on my food. I can't have either of these things. Trying to make the most of it I picked around the contaminated food and thought at least the chicken would be good. Half of the chicken wasn't cooked call the way through. Lots of pink and bloody spots. I won't be ordering from this location again which is a shame.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here is an update to the below original review which I provided earlier, the manger of the store Hozan called me and expressed his regrets about what happened, and explained the situation. Apparently orders were mixed up and I received a smaller order. As a token of appreciation and nice gesture he also provided me with a complimentary platter for my family with an additional 15% discount on my next order. Below I have included the photo of complementary platter. What I liked the most about this interaction is that the business owner, manager and staff care about their relationship with customers and appreciate them.
OLD REVIEW: "I have ordered several times in this locations, and all my orders have been take outs so I usually do not see what I am getting until I get back to my home. One time they burned the chicken badly. I called them and returned the food to them, the manger unwillingly took the old food while complaining that I could have eaten the burned food. Today I ordered same mix of "meat lovers for 5" and this time the portion was almost 60% of it used to be for the same price. Although I do understand the costs have gone up, what I do not understand is that why I am paying the same price for almost 40% less. The platter was missing beef and chicken shawarma, it only had 3 beef skewers and 3 chicken skewers with half the rice, half potato wedges and half hummus."

They are nice and friendly and the decor is amazing inside it takes me to the Middle East as I step through the door. Must have and you will love their food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We must have come close to grand opening. The place was packed. The food is always excellent at any Jerusalem. This one still needs to work out the kinks of order processing but it all worked out in the end and we were able to find a table. I hope other locations start offering poutine like this one
