BED BUGS !!!!!!!! 11th floor downwards. Had to pay out the company to break my Lease because they never took care of the issue properly. Had to throw out almost all of my furniture. They also have worm type bugs infested in their carpets. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE.

Look elsewhere. Nearby apartments with more space charges less. Midwest charge more for outside parking compared to apartments nearby for underground parking. Hallway, elevator, stairs and your own room will smell like cigarettes and weed.

Terrible. I have been in this building for almost a year and i cant wait to get out. 1- extensive renovations. Constant noise is one issue, but Its been 4 months that they say they are repairing water boiler which means we have not had hot water or cold water quite often, sometimes without any notice. There have been times that during hot summer i had to go for days without cold water and vice versa, and now a day before new years there is no hot water. 2- old windows, no thermostat in units, and central heat is kept very low even during this December with temperatures around -30 C. Very uncomfortable and unhealthy. 3- smoking is becoming a real issue since recently residents seem to think its acceptable to let their smoke into common areas and even other units. Its been appalling situation for a past while. 4- constant turn overs with on site staff (they are admittedly nice) means they are not well trained for management, there will be no proper follow up with residents' complaints, and there is no fixing the "damages" that one maintenance guy does after the other one. I do NOT recommend this building to anyone.

Heat has been between 18-21 degrees since October and nothing has been done. Many others have complained. Noise issues non-stop. Smokers are allowed to let smoke into the hallway and other suites apparently. We've gone through a few managers and maintenance people within a year, so developing a report and trust with them is meaningless because they'll be gone within months (You treat them poorly from what they've told me and what I've seen). This is an issue because the maintenance man drilled holes in my wall and peeled some paint off when removing insulating wrap from my window and I'll probably be charged. (Please note, their staff is amazing and friendly so they aren't the problem and shouldn't be punished.) I wouldn't rent with them again if I'd known better. Oh not to mention I live in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment and pay $1200. Insane. I can't believe I'm paying $1200 for this month so I can be wrapped in blankets and freezing ALL THE TIME. I wish I could get a refund because this isn't right.

In the Three years I've been here it has gone down a lot. There has been like 8 different building managers in the time I've lived here why is this happening? Residents build connections with staff and then they leave. There is one laundry room for 12 floors of people can never do my laundry. A washer has been broken for almost 2 months and they wont fix it. 4 washers 12 floors of people real smart. Elevator is broken AGAIN! and its going to be down for a long time still. They over charge for this apartment, Bathrooms are tiny, One sink in the kitchen paint is falling off my walls since the day I moved in. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP I have no closet for shoes homeless people are so loud you cant have your windows open while living here if you want sleep.

Do NOT get an apartment at this building. We have been trying to transfer lease to this apt for a month and a half and after a week of hell trying to get an answer from the manager we decided to cancel. We were told nothing but lies from them. 1 We were told we would have to pay a prorated amount. My current landlord said no when transferring lease you can only pay for one apt at a time so we would not be charged this month for the second apt. 2 We were told we couldn't get the keys for the new apt til we hand in the keys to the old apt. Current landlord said no because that would be impossible to move and clean at the same time. 3 We were told we would only have 3 days to transfer as we cannot be In possession of two sets of keys. My current landlord said no we only need the keys at the end of the month cause your paid up til the end. 4 We were told that because we already submitted a notice to vacate we would have to move out of the old apartment because it's on the market. Current landlord said no we haven't put your apt out yet. 5 We were told our SECURITY deposit was already in the bank and we would have to have it mailed to us. After I got mad at the idea of a security money order already being deposited even though it was not theirs yet as nothing was signed, they found it in the desk. 6 The headoffice manager for the north side midwest properties told me this is corporate policy for all apartments and it is not negotiable. My current landlord said no we don't have any policies that state that as they do transfers on their own property all the time and have never done this. Everyone in this building was new and hasn't been trained at all how to do their jobs other than collect rent. She said she was new and still learning, but don't learn on the job in front of new applicants. The ONLY reason we wanted here was for the tiny tiny small bachelor suite for $900. Do like us, take your hard earned money elsewhere. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BUILDING.

I recently completed my lease (within the last year) and I will write a very honest review about this place. The reason it took so long is because I dont want to write a negative review before getting my security deposit back. You get the gist. I have to write as anonymous just to be safe. Previously, Id lived here for a year on a one year lease. I have a east facing unit, so it is at the back side of the building. Every morning, it is very noisy. The noise comes from loud construction morning until 6pm sometimes even 8pm, garbage trucks and also homeless people crushing cans outside while pushing their loud shopping carts. The rent price here is also not on par with other places within the same area. If you are budgeting, do know that Jasper house is charging you about $200 more for a 50+ years old building with smaller square footage. For the same rent, you should be able to get a nicer, newer, better maintained apartment than this with larger space. Their parking space is an extra $70+ per month which increases every year for some reason. For that amount, it should be underground heated but it is not. (Again, shop for parking prices around the same area). The paint jobs here are usually poorly done. The cupboards are dated, and low quality. I gave this place two stars because they did something right, that is there is maintenance guy here that get things sorted within a day or two, up to a week. There is also a HUGE turnover with managing staff during my tenancy here. There is at least 5 new managers and or assistants and it makes you wonder why. They are of different quality so some are difficult to work with. Some only worked for a few weeks and did not care about the place. Lastly, they will not work with you when you decided to move out, despite being a good tenant. They are only nice when it benefits them. I will not write details about this issue because they might find out who I am. The previous review I saw here is also right about the cigarette smoke coming into your room. Many times of the year I had also smell illegal pot smell in the hall ways - so they are not exactly crime free as advertise. Just beware.

I moved here for a 12 month lease, in a 2 bedroom suite with roommates. Overall had an enjoyable time here. The Good: -Great view of the Vally as well as a great area for running and walking -Parking was a isolated enough so you wouldn’t get random people messing around -Management for the most part were kind and helpful -lobby is definitely a nice touch -Workout room was acceptable -right next to the bus station -Walls are concrete so noise wasn’t an issue The Not-So-Good -There were some design issues with the suite that aren’t necessarily life changing but definitely are a hurdle no less. -Management on the other half wasn’t so great and often the staff changed from season to season -leaks were common in the main lobby from time to time -Smoking was a issue through the year, as countless people smoked right in front of the entrance. It wasn’t until I was leaving where it was starting to be solved
