Working with Jared at Ki Fitness is life changing. He helped me overcome chronic back pain through gentle strength and mobility movements that worked with my body. In the process I've learned, and continue to learn so much about my bodies physiology and how it should actually be working! Things improved quickly for me as soon as I started training with Jared. He provided ongoing support and adjustments towards more advanced movements that not only brought me back to a pain-free baseline, but helped me surpass my previous strength levels, which helped improve my overall athletic performance and quality of life. Jared really knows his stuff, has a keen eye for mobility issues, and makes you feel comfortable while providing encouragement and pushing your limits for improvement while staying safe from injury. He's a trainer that not only walks his talk, but you can tell he's truly passionate about his work and stoked to help people improve. If you want to improve your fitness, mobility, flexibility, strength and confidence in your body, then working with Jared will be the best choice you can make in the Comox Valley. We're very lucky to have such a world class trainer here in our community.

Jared is an incredible trainer! Not only does he have an absolute wealth of knowledge and experience, but he is patient and has a great sense of humour! When I started training with Jared I had some pretty serious injuries that stopped me from being able to partake in normal activity levels and I was in chronic pain. It took us a while to get there, but with his guidance and unrelenting problem solving mindset we were able to build my body back up so that I was completely functional and very rarely had any pain. I can't recommend Ki Fitness enough!

Where do I start. I first worked with Jared about 4 years ago and again in 2019 September. This time around we worked on my cardio and weight loss goals. He made a program that was tailored to my exact needs. He factored in my strengths weaknesses and previous injuries. Once we started working we had shared files that both of us has access to. This really helped me stay on track. Just a fair warning the program was not easy. It really kicked my butt. I was really motivated and kept pushing. I started seeing results from week 1. So far I am down 42lbs in 13 weeks. For anyone reading this its extremely important for you to understand that its a team effort. Jared can't do anything for you if you are not willing to put the time in. He is the catalyst but you have to be the reactionary change.

I can't say enough about Jared, Sophie and Ki Fitness! I started working with Jared several months ago and he's been so instrumental in my journey back to a healthy and strong body. He's extremely knowledgeable, focused, passionate and supportive. One of the many things I appreciate about Jared and about Ki Fitness on the whole, is the well-rounded approach - everything from yoga, to strength training to martial arts - you can't find a place or person that offers more. I look forward to every session with Jared and I look forward to each workout I do on my own. They've created a very special place, I highly recommend Jared and Ki Fitness.

I never thought I'd higher a trainer and I never thought I'd enjoy it! Now I'm hooked. Jared has helped me with my posture, correcting old stubborn injuries, and in gaining strength and endurance. Jared has a very comprehensive understanding of how the body works and is attentive to making sure you create the best possible habits while working out. He is great at creating workout programs to fit the individuals needs. With the right amount of patients and push, Jared knows how to challenge me in a supportive way. I also really enjoy using the Ki fitness space as a rental. Its very clean, is nicely laid out and operates efficiently. I highly recommend Ki Fitness to anyone.

It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Jared as a personal trainer. I trained with Jared for about 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed my time working with him, he is a truly valuable asset to absolutely any kind of fitness. He's honest, dependable, and incredibly hard-working, all with a sense of humor and his vigorous drive is inspirational. Beyond that, he is an impressive knowledgeable person who will give you results. His knowledge and philosophy of fitness was a huge advantage to me, he put his skill set to work to help me achieve my goals and it went beyond all expectations that l had. Along with his indescribable workouts and undeniable talent, Jared has always been an absolute joy to train with. I would not hesitate to consult with Jared for any future projects and I am pleased to say that he would be an asset to anybody's fitness program. Jared is an exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced coach and trainer whose personal attributes and incredibly well laid-out and equipped gym spaces ensure that I receive the maximum benefit from all my training time, both in and out of the gym. Jared has a unique combination of knowledge, insight and experience that have allowed us to successfully overcome a number of difficult training challenges. After 2 years of training with Jared, my training results and physical capacity have far exceeded what I had previously thought possible.

I love Ki Fitness! Jared is professional, relatable, and has a deep understanding for helping you train toward your goals or help you heal from an injury. I have been working with Jared for just under 2 years and have never felt stronger or leaner. If you have the opportunity to train at Ki Fitness I would strongly suggest you take it!
