They also give me a quarter bowl of miso soup with my chicken Katsu Don. Maybe eating in the restaurant would have been a better dining experience, but overall we found this place so so.

P	PB ZZ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not sure where all the good reviews are coming from or maybe we went during a bad day for the chef/kitchen. The hostesses are very nice, friendly, and attentive. The decor was ok and clean. We were very excited to try this place based on the many positive Google reviews, but sadly it all comes down to the quality of the food and the taste of the food. We ordered a few items from the menu to try a good variety. The first thing we ate was the sashimi, specifically the tuna sashimi. It was fishy and had a bad aftertaste. That set the bar low for the rest of the evening. The rolls were small, lacked flavor, and didn't match the menu description or the price. The chopped scallops in the scallop rolls were sour. The chicken karrage was almost non-existent (about 6 pieces of chicken), which is about half the serving size compared to anywhere else. About the only good thing from the menu that we ate was the tofu steak. Total bill was expensive considering we didn't order alcohol or dessert. We really wanted to like it, but it was a disappointing dining experience. Will not be coming back.

Yesterday we tried the season special cold ramen, perfect portions and taste fresh for summer time. We always have some other dishes such as beef takaki, bakes shrimp, yakitori etc. All awesome taste let us just like fly to Japan! Highly recommended!

My group and I ordered the assorted tempura, chicken karaage, the sashimi - sushi lunch bento box, and one order of chicken Katsu don. The Chicken Karaage was the star appetizer, the chicken was moist and not over fried at all, the hot sauce with it was a good pairing, the tempura was on par with most other places i have tried, no complaints. The Sashimi bento box was a great value, and the chicken Katsu don was moisture and very flavorful. I will definitely be coming back to try the dinner menu, I also really enjoyed the atmosphere and lay out of the restaurant.

I like that the menu is definitely well-rounded. We were pleased to see items you don't normally see in other Japanese restaurants, of which we were happy to order several of. Everything was really good and brought back memories of various restaurants in Japan, especially the kushiage. It's very clear the owner takes great care and pride of this establishment. I'm looking forward to our next visit.
