It was a laid back, and enjoyable atmosphere. I loved the resident ? in the salon. He was friendly and sweet. Prices are great, and my color and hair cut were awesome. Last but not least, Jen my stylist was amazing. She took her time to match my color and was very precise on my highlights. I'm definitely going back. It's a hidden Gem in Peterborough!

My wife had her hair done and she loved the knowledge of Marcy her stylist. She loved her cut and as a result other family members have booked appointments.

Ask Jen to dye my hair purple and she delivered! Love my hair, staff were friendly and funny, everyone was very considerate of social distancing. Would highly recommend!

Love getting my hair cut by Marcy. I was always nervous getting my hair cut in the past but Marcy makes me feel so comfortable and she’s so kind and does an excellent job that I’m always excited to go back. Great atmosphere, super reasonable prices and I love shopping her bath bombs and other goodies for my grandkids too!

The people here are very awesome, I have been to many saloon and explained what kind of style I want and I end up with dissatisfaction. However, in this saloon and spa I was 100% satisfied with the work they have done. I truly appreciate the patience and the work of Ashlan.. I have gone to this salon before and the haircuts were good. This is the third time I came and I got my hair cut by Jen and I had shown her a picture of what I wanted and it didn’t come out the way I was hoping. She had made the sides of my hair completely uneven and put bangs on the opposite side of where my hair naturally parts. She also made part of the back of my hair uneven and I had to point it out for her to fix, which I thought was odd because it was extremely noticeable how bad it was. As someone who has got their hair cut a numerous amount of times throughout their life, this was one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever received. On the other hand Jen was completely understanding of it and she gave me a discount for the trouble. She took the criticism with a good attitude. I don’t like to be a mean person and I think everyone should be judged fairly but I also believe in being honest. What I was also not happy about is the owner of the salon. As a professional place I believe the owner, with more knowledge of hair cutting, should come in to help if a customer is unsatisfied with a haircut, or at least give some tips or advice to the stylist on what she should do to fix it. This has been my experience in other professional settings. She didn’t once come to apologize or ask if there was anything she could do to help. She seemed hostile towards me and I felt that she was irritated with me. From the beginning of coming to this place I have felt that she is not a very welcoming person and I left very disappointed in my experience as a whole. When I went home to further inspect I called back and told them they need to fix it again because my hair was so choppy. When I came back the owner told me, someone would be with me soon, but once again she didn’t come to ask me anything or even acknowledge my hair situation. She stayed in her own space and pretty much ignored me and I take that as a very bad sign of leadership for a professional setting. I chose to put my feelings aside and hope that the new stylist would fix it. Jen was no where to be found and I was hoping she would be there so I could tell her again, thank you for being understanding and that I wasn’t mad. The second stylist, I don’t remember her name unfortunately, she was a lot more social and inviting to be around, which was nice. She also did not do the greatest job of fixing my hair. Once again my hair remained uneven and choppy but just a little more fixed up enough to hide the imperfections. After a couple days of being distressed with my hair I ended up going to another salon close by to fix it. The stylist told me that my hair was going to be a challenge for her because of how badly it was uneven. I ended up going from wanting to get a neck length haircut to a pixie cut because of what happened. Thankfully the stylist at the new salon did a fantastic job of fixing it and was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. I will definitely be going to the other salon from now on. Regardless, I am thankfully someone who doesn’t care too much about hair and it will eventually grow back. Unfortunately, this experience was bad enough for me to write this essay of a bad review.

I went to a professional salon, for the first time in years to get my hair cut and to try something new. I found this salon and saw the reviews and just went ahead to get a hair cut and my hair coloured too. I have never felt more happy about a decision. My stylist was Ashlan, and she made me feel so comfortable and talked me through the decision and how everything would work, and was very kind as well. Since I told her that I've never coloured my hair, she made sure the experience was good and left the best impression. I am in love with the results of my hair and I want to thank Jade Salon & Spa's staff, including Ashlan, for making the experience amazing. I am definitely coming back for haircuts and maybe another change in the future. :) Definitely recommend this salon for you're first time.
