10 out of 10! J&M Construction just finished renovating my business and I could not be happier. John and his crew are consummate professionals from the first meeting to the quote and every step of the way they were an absolute pleasure to work with. We took down some walls, installed cabinets and shelves, converted a small room into a new kitchenette and various other odd jobs. The quality of work is impeccable, and with the help of some input from John, the final product completely surpassed my original vision, in fact the ideas he presented turned out to be some of my favorite features of the build. One of the things I’m most appreciative of, is how well they were able to work with and around our business hours, keeping our days closed during this renovation to a minimum. All in all I will definitely recommend J&M to others and I will certainly use them again myself next time I need anything done.

We had the good fortune to work with J&M on an evolving project within our home. Throughout the project we were amazed at their ability to accommodate our needs and offer their experience in addressing the unexpected issues that would arise. They were by far the most reliable and professional contractors that we have had the pleasure to work with.

We were looking to completely remodel the main floor of our older home, Mike and John were referred to us for the work and we couldn’t have been happier. They understood our needs, created a complete design, filed permits, and followed through with a detailed execution to make our dream open concept kitchen and living space. Their professionalism and attention to detail like it was their own home made us feel confident in our decision to work with them. Highly recommended.

John and Mike were fantastic I honestly believe that had we chosen another contractor to renovate our house we would have had a lot of trouble with it. John and his team held our hand through the entire process. They helped suggest colour schemes and other things such as floors, counter tops and hardware. Everyone they sent us too to get our supplies were also fantastic and had the best prices(we compared these prices with many other retailers and his suggested companies came in with prices up to 50% less than many other quotes we got for identical products). They also have a computer program that renders an image of what the renovated area will look like. The images shown on the program were exactly what our kitchen turned out to look like. It was nice to see what the renovations would look like before starting the construction and spend a lot of money. It’s the things like this that helped us have the confidence to go forward with the project and know we had made the right choice in Hiring John and his team. The project was estimated to take 3 weeks and it actually took 4 weeks but that was only because we were slow in picking out our appliances and the flooring. Had we been quicker it would have been done exactly on time. We moved out of the house for the renovation, but my neighbors told me that the contractors were at the house every day to start work at 7:30am and when we would visit the house to see the progress they would regularly still be there working at 6pm and even after that time. They would even come in on Saturday’s to work. I have recommended John and his team to 3 of our friends so far and plan on continuing to recommend them. We are excited to work with J & M Construction to finish our front area and basement once we have paid off a little more of our renovation debt. Funny side note when John visited us for our consultation he noticed that our toilet was running. It must have annoyed him as he fixed it for free while we were still in the consultation phase. (We hadn’t paid him any money yet but he bought the pieces required and fixed the toilet at no charge). It’s always the little things you remember and I’ll remember their commitment to quality forever. Thank you so much John, Mike and your whole team. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to renovate their house!!!

John and Mike did an AMAZING job with our backyard deck. We gave them a rough idea of what we were looking for, and they came up with a beautiful finished product. Mike even designed a very nice "privacy" fence between us and our closer neighbours. Great price and only took 1 week to complete. Highly recommend their services!

We are thrilled with our new kitchen and other main floor renovations! We contacted J & M Construction after not being happy with quotes and lack of service from other renovation services. We hoped this would be the one. We met with Mike Land to review what we wanted to be done. We discussed what would work and what might not be viable. He produced colour 3D renderings replicating what the kitchen would look like, including some of his own design ideas that were brilliant! Quote was better than competitive as was projected time to complete the project. During the renovations, Mike was there first thing in the morning as agreed upon which gave us time to review progress and discuss any issues that arose. Every major project has the unexpected and Mike explained what they were and approximate costs, all within reason. J & M's crew were efficient, friendly and kept work areas tidy at the end of each day. J & M uses only certified electricians and plumbers, with electrical work inspected and signed off. The work of the cabinet makers, Aversa Kitchens and Fine Cabinetry, was nothing but quality and perfection as was everything else about the renovation (tiling, counter, trim, painting and installation of appliances). J & M exceeded expectations on all aspects of the renovation. Mike and his team were professional, they listened, they provided suggestions and recommendations and above they executed - we could not be more pleased and happy with the end result. This is my second time working with John and Mike from J&M Construction Services. This time, John and Mike did extensive renovations for me and they exceeded my expectations. I was literally speechless when I saw the completed work, from the kitchen to the basement. The best part of working with this dynamic duo is their willingness to listen to you; make any changes if required and help keep you on budget. They are honest; friendly; knowledgeable professionals who take pride in the quality of their work. They are dedicated and understand the importance of meeting 'quoted' completion dates. Michael Land and his construction team at J & M Construction Services completed the renovation of our basement and the main floor office over the second half of the Covid-19 pandemic. We don’t even know where to begin with how amazing we found this team to work with! Despite our family being home for most of the construction due to remote working conditions, and despite all of the safety precautions in place, Mike and his team were reliable, professional, friendly, clean and organized, considerate of the fact that we were often all home, and very responsible in terms of keeping our family and themselves safe and healthy. Beyond this, the work done by this crew was fantastic and top-notch quality! Mike had wonderful suggestions based on his experience. He and the project manager for our build, Lorne, were amazing at problem-solving and making sure everything was done excellently, beautifully, on time and on budget. Lorne was on site daily and was super communicative and a real pleasure to work with. We felt very confident with him leading the crew. Mike was on site often, was super communicative and responsive to any questions or issues that came up. We are simply thrilled with the work they did for us, would hire this construction company again and recommend them highly!
