★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful atmosphere and ambience, I love the interior decorating. Amazing service and such great food! The duck tacos and pupusas are my favourite! The owner, Isabel, is so kind and friendly, and I love the wild foods touch! Highly recommend this place for amazing, authentic food, and fantastic atmosphere :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a family birthday celebration hosted by Isabel at her restaurant. It was intimate, well decorated with a earthy rustic feel. We spent hours trying new blended drinks, wonderful appetizers, exquisite entrees and the best coffee. Not only did we get to experience all of this the host, owner and chef is a gem and delight. Will be returning for sure. You should give it a try.

My friends and I were at first happy to come eat there. The waiter told us there were issues with wait time (around 20 minutes) but was very kind. However, one hour in, we still didn’t have our food. When we got it, one order on three was not the right meal and the two other meals were stone cold (both the beef in the tacos and the burger). We told the waiter about it and the cook/owner came out. We asked if it was possible to reheat the food and how long it would be for my friend’s initial order to be ready. The owner became very aggressive and argued that she had just plated the food. She told us that she would not reheat them and we would have to either eat it or leave it untouched and leave. We decided to go with the second option and pay for our beverages and our appetizer. As we were ready to pay, the owner came back out and starting questioning me and it the burger, telling me there was nothing wrong with it and that I was complaining for nothing. She started causing a scene and I felt harassed. My friend then went inside and she tried to make us pay for the untouched burger, yelling at my friend. We had to leave in a hurry, still hungry and terrified by the experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Healthy and delicious! Clearly a lot of thought and work goes into selection of ingredients and cooking. Our try everything platter and wild rice bowl were amazing. It felt like a home-cooked meal. Staff was friendly and caring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although the people outside the building were rude and made my friend picking our food up extremely uncomfortable, the food definitely outshines that experience! Fresh, wholesome and delicious, I would definitely recommend Ixim to others. The manoomin was incredible! tart and smooth, the chicken was not dry and the seasoning was nuanced and just right. Loved all of your sauces as well as the strawberry sumac cold drink!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ah so nice! I discovered this little gem on my recent trip up to Wakefield. The staff was so welcoming and their homemade pumpkin ? pie was awesome! As was the hot chocolate! Now that I’ve discovered this cute spot I will be visiting more often. ??
