I took the Standard First Aid & CPR course here and had a great experience. Great COVID safety measures were in place with barriers between each person and we had access to all the equipment we needed at our tables. The course is well-organized with breaks between each module, which helped a lot with staying focused throughout the ~6 hours we were there. Our instructor, Colton, was very effective in teaching us both the theoretical concepts and the hands-on procedures. He is very knowledgable and answered all the questions we had. I would recommend Intensive Care First Aid to anyone who is interested in taking a first aid course.

Today was my first Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C training and it went well, overall. Despite the ongoing pandemic, Intensive Care First Aid took additional precautions to ensure everyone in the room is safe at all times. For instance, everyone wore masks in the room, sanitized hands upon entry, learners were provided face shields, social-distanced tables, individual set of equipments/mannequins, and clear barriers placed between instructor and each learner. The instructor was very informative and well-spoken. Highly recommend this location!

Needed to recertify my first aid and immediately found Intensive First Aid after a few online searches. Registration was quick - 50/50 Online blended in person learning. Finding the office unit was not difficult as their in-house directions and pictures they provide was clear and easily understood. Upon entering into the class you're asked to sanitize your hands and to provide your name before being assigned to a seat. Immediately the room looks like a dexter serial murder kill room as it's full of plastic barrier LOL. Seat assignment is due to having multiple different lengths of classes running at once - for example if you've registered for 3 hours CPR-AED then you're seated closest to the door but for Standard First Aid & CPR/AED then you're assigned to seating further into the classroom. This was smart thinking to have assigned seating so there would be minimal disruption, social distancing and fewer bodies to pass etc. Joyce, our instructor introduced herself and promptly explained the day. The plastic barriers were transparent but were difficult to see past. Furthermore content were shown on a wall-mounted tv. In a perfect world without masks and barriers the lecture would have been fine but due to the covid19 safety measures it was hard to see what Joyce the instructor was doing - especially when it came to her demonstrations with bandaging. I've taken many first aid courses through providers like St. John's Ambulance but I think Intensive Care First Aid offers more value as the instructors are actual nurses/healthcare workers with real-life experiences. Joyce was able to include personal accounts through her work in the industry, what worked-what didn't, answered questions thoughtfully and carefully explained the rational for certain procedures/methods. Great class, instructions were clear. Safety measures in place. Instructor is knowledgeable and flexible providing real life scenarios and personal experiences - which in my opinion is invaluable and enhances the overall delivery of the class.

The course was concise and the instructor was great! I will take First Aid with them in the future and will recommend them to anyone. All Covid measures were followed throughout the whole class and I felt safe being in the room with everyone else.

I took two first aid courses here so far, and my experience is super positive. The instructor speaks clearly, and covers all the subject in a good pace. Great that they send a reminder email one month in advance the expiry date so that we can schedule to book a class ahead of time. The website is very user friendly, and easy to navigate. Due to pandemic, the safety measures are in place as you see in the pic.

I took the Standard First Aid class with Joyce and it was great! The content was presented in a clear and concise manner. Joyce did a great job with explaining the techniques for assessment, CPR, bandaging. She added tips and tricks she learned as a nurse which really added value to the course! Booking a class online went smoothly. Will definitely come back when I need to renew my certifications! :)
