Had a claim for an accident with my car. Verry fast response and they took care of everything. Paid what was due.

I used to be with this insurance company. I had a car accident where I was paying for the road side assistance, in case of an accident, which at the time made sense. When as soon as I had my car accident, I had my car towed to my place which quite ironically it died 1 kilometer from my house. Then it was towed for one kilometerand cost something like 80$ I was fine because I had roadside assistance, but they refused to pay it due to the car having physical damage. I'm sorry but this was the primary reason why I changed insurance companies, was just ridiculous.

The worst experience among insurance companies I know. In my case it was a repair after an accident in which my car was bumped by another car from behind. All back side of the vehicle was damaged. Trailer hitch was totally bent and the bumper of another car stuck in the bumper of my one. The other car was determined total-loss.My insurance company then was Intact. They recommended me Autoevolution auto service. I accepted an Intact's recommendation. That was a bad decision. When I came to pick up my car after the repair, only external damages were fixed while internal plastic coverage of the hatch door that was cracked during the accident was left not replaced despite the fact that I pointed to these damages when I initially brought the car in.When I pointed to these lacks of the repair to Autoevolution service man he was really confused by the fact that they had overlooked it. Then he referenced me to Intact, just to get rid of me.Well, I took pictures of all not fixed damages and sent it to Intact with a request to regulate the issue. Intact learned about these internal damages and replied that it classified as not-related damages. They told me that they sent my pictures to Autoevolution and Autoevolution classified it as not-related.Then, I started to understand that Intact and Autoevolution knew very well how to trick clients. Once Intact finds a reason not to pay their liability, they address the issue to their services, like Autoevolution. The services on their side play for Intact"s advantage saying: "these damages are not accident-related". You cannot prove anything and they know it very well - they are very experienced in tricking the clients.The fact that both, Intact and Autoevolution learned about these damages just when I sent the pictures approves that they overlooked it during the repair, which is any very unprofessional or they did that intentionally. Then, when trying to estimate the damages by the pictures they did not take to account how strong was the collision. When I mentioned that the collision was so powerful that another car was determined total-loss they just ignored it saying that that could not cause internal cracks in the hatch door. Then Intact told me later that the repair cost was too high and they could not continue to pay more either - unbelievable, what unprofessional.Finally I found another insurance company that coasts me 70$ less than Intact (for two cars) and the terms of the insurance are even better than in Intact. So, if you are thinking about going to INTACT, THINK TWICE. INTACT is NOT RECOMMENDED, as to me.

Worst insurance company in the world. How do these people sleep at night ?? They know how to make you feel guilty about your claim finding excuses not to pay it or pay much less than the claim made. Why is this company still allowed to exist. Never dealing with these criminals again !!!!!!!

Awful. Refused to insure our house. They listed 3 issues, all of which were addressed. Even after resolving those issues, they still refused with no good answer. And instead of dealing with it, they respond with "Deal with your broker". All this, after years of our business. What a joke.

My house got some bad damage from a roof flood. I received excellent service from my claims agent, Maxime Lajeunesse. He got the ball rolling with the contractors (Danar), the house repaired (slowly) and he was easy to contact. I am happy Intact was my company and I would recommend them (for house insurance anyways). That said, I do find they over do the ripping out of everything to start from scratch .... still, I was well cared for.

Don't bother, don't waist your time, money, energy, breath.... just don't. I regret every second Intact has taken of my precious time on this earth. Zero customer service, like none. Your just a client number to them.
