★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience getting a brazilian wax. I usually go to another place but because of covid they are very backed up.
She didn't use hard wax or suger. She didn't wear any gloves, said her clients prefer to feel the warmth it helps them with the pain(her words). It was very unsanitary!!
I usually don't write bad reviews but this was just too much. Very , very bad experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitively not a place to be pampered. All she cares about is your money and not your needs. There are a lot of facial/spa in Gatineau where you can go but this one, institut de beaute oriental is def not a place to come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thus was my first time getting my back waxed so not sure how to compare it. She was crazy fast with no hesitation which i really liked. But then when she grabbed a hand full of cooking coconut oil to butter me up with i didn't think it was to weird until the wife said that might be why i got a rash. Like i said it was my first time so who known.

She is the best esthetician I've gone to, she explains what she is doing and why, and I've had long term hair loss results from her hot wax service! She takes the time to make sure I'm satisfied and does the job meticulously. She washes her hands in front of you, and cares to make sure that she is working efficiently and as painlessly as possible. A review mentioned that she doesn't wear gloves: it's important that Kim not wear gloves during a hot wax because she is able to hold down the skin (reduce pain) and work quickly (30 minutes for a full brazillian wax). I highly recommend this spa!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kim has been my esthetician for years! I have referred to her to many friends. She is amazing and her work is always top quality. I honestly get compliments on my skin all the time, she is the reason it is always clean and glowing!

During the service, I asked her that I want a specific type of treatment, she said No. She doesn't know how to treat customers. I will be honest with you. If you want to have good and high quality of facial and spa services, I suggest you to save your money and go somewhere else. I REPEAT SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THEY WILL TREAT YOU BY RESPECT. I will never come again to this place . Waste of money.
