I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone who's looking for smaller jobs or anyone who's not completely informed about the process of having someone engraved. It's very clear that if there's not a large enough payoff or profit, they're not interested in helping you and they don't like answering questions for people unfamiliar with the process. I was looking to have a custom memorial bench engraved for my mother in law who recently passed away. A simple metal plate with her name on it with a picture of her favorite dog. Super simple work it would seem. Initially, Alice seemed nice, but almost the second she heard it would be a smaller job, her tune completely changed. She rushed me off the phone, made it seem like she was too busy to help, kept saying things like "I think you should reconsider this and not move forward with it"...I felt like more of a waste of her time than a valued customer. The quote was also almost double what she estimated over the phone after fees. Which I actually didn't really care about, money wasn't a concern. She sent me a single draft of what I asked to have designed. It was terrible, so I made some other suggestions and requested a single revision, to which she basically declined. I have a background in graphic design, so I offered to instead save her time and just design it on my end and for her to just approve it when I sent it back. Seems pretty simple and she agreed that she would let me know if the SECOND DRAFT would work after I sent it. Before I did, we exchanged a couple very short emails in which I asked simple questions about how the image I was now designing for them should be rendered to ensure it works with their engraving machines and her response was basically that she's too busy, that it was too complicated, that "our original discussion did not include that I wanted to be taught on how to prepare a photo" and that the job was now outside the scope of the original quote. I felt like there was zero guidance from Alice, I had to ask all the questions rather than having the business I'm paying explain things to me, knowing I may be ignorant as someone who doesn't engrave things on a daily basis, like every other good business out there. I would have happily paid more if what I was asking for was going to require more work or time. I told her I'd be leaving a review and I kid you not...she called me a bad customer. I was completely shocked. Nothing I did was "bad", I thought it was normal for a customer to ask questions. I figured we were teaming up to get a small project completed and offered to do the work design wise so she didn't need to do it. I sound like a crazy customer, with how lengthy this review is, but I'm really not. This was such a simple job that she 100% over-complicated. Tries to flip it in me saying I complicated things haha. When really I just didn't accept her first draft and went back to the drawing board. Completely dissatisfied.
