★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have stopped in at Indigo Bay several times over the past several years when we visit Canmore and I have yet to have any of the staff say Hello, or greet me in any way.
The staff always seem to be huddled together around the sales counter chatting about one thing or another.
If you decide to try something on they mosey over and ask if they can get a room started. When you are trying on items they don’t bother to ask if you require an alternate size nor do they approach you to offer any assistance.
If you do decide to make a purchase they are very quick to usher you to the counter though.
I tend to stop in these days just to see if any of the staff will actually greet customers, approach them or ask if they can be of assistance.
If I owned this shop I would be concerned about what my staff are doing when I’m not there.
Interesting shopping experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please be aware that the staff is rude and their return policy is extremely limited. You won't get your money back on unused products and the best they can do is to offer in store credit or an exchange. This is only good for 2 weeks after your purchase. After this 2 week period you are out luck. I think the last time I saw a "retun" policy like this one was in the early 90''s. Just for that reason alone I will never go back to this over priced store. Did I mention how rude the staff is? Oh well...no more Indigo Bay for me and my family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store has an excellent selection - including of accessories and footwear. The problem is two-fold: the $400 sweater looks cheap because it’s crammed into a rack so tightly that you can barely pull it out. And, when you do, you barely have enough room to hold it away from you to take a good look before hitting another rack or tower of denim.
I love browsing this store but rarely try anything on because I’m OVERWHELMED by the stacks and stacks and stacks of merchandise piled high everywhere.
If I had a tip: take 80% of the merchandise off the sales floor and let us see and appreciate what you do have. Rotate stock to keep things fresh and highlight the nice (expensive) items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found the staff were not engaged unless you took the initiative to approach them. Overwhelming amount of product. I didn’t know where to start. Prices were outrageous but especially for items that were thin and not much to them. Did not feel welcomed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been looking for fleece lined leggings (good quality) all over Canmore! It turns out Indigo Bay has them. I bought the Lemon seamless faux fur leggings and they are awesome! I wore them on my walk today and was happy and warm. Highly recommend these. and check out the sorels on sale there too!
