The experience features a number of interactive components, knowledge indigenous guides and a fantastic video talking about the realities of the residential school system. There is so much to learn that you will need to go back many times. I plan on taking my kids here many times as they grow up to ensure that they have a good understanding of the indigenous people of Canada.

I loved how the cultures were told through quoting members of the culture and by displaying replicas of artifacts. The first part takes you on a journey through the culture and spirituality of various indigenous peoples. The second part introduces the meetings with the first Europeans through the colonization of the indigenous peoples' lands. It finished off with a video and live first accounts touching on the residential schools (in a trauma safe way). All in all this experience left me with a sense of having learnt an important lesson, one I can't express in words yet.

The guide's facts and stories together with the circular light show really showed Indigenous people's resilience and creativity in new roles and endeavours. The display afterwards was stunning, again interactive, like having a real experience with sound effects, music and stories told by elders. Everyone should go to this. It is a moving and insightful glimpse into the inequities and injustices, the enduring negative effects on Indigenous peoples, and the positive, hopeful and outstanding successes they are showing in spite of all the sadness and setbacks imposed on them by settlers and the stain of colonialism.

The information is presented in a balanced way in my opinion which knows what to celebrate and what to reconcile. Very respectful of all peoples and is a great effort to educate and move us all towards a greater understanding.
K	Kirk Dewhurst on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ UP FRONT You must visit this experience. This is a fully immersive multimedia presentation that will blow your mind. I learned so much about the indigenous peoples and their community. I was totally moved. The building was clean and has washroom facilities. There are lots of moments to enjoy and take in the information of the history of the indigenous people and a wonderful section about the Métis people. You could come here many times and learn something new each time. Not only is the presentation on the inside of the building amazing but the surrounding grounds have excellent interpretive trails and markers. My wife and I absolutely loved the whole experience and definitely recommend coming here.

I didn't connect the name until it was explained to me, it's built from the viewpoint of Indigenous Peoples about their experiences and the impacts on their people and culture. Everyone should see it at least once.
