5 stars for the excellent service from the kind staff. However, this reviewer has serious concerns and questions about the Bay's decision to keep most of its doors and windows locked during the pandemic, particularly the doors that allow customers to enter and leave from the outer perimeters of the mall. When I went to the Bay on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, I was baffled to see that all of the external entrances were closed "Due to Covid-19" and that the only open entrance to the Bay was the entrance through the mall. May someone please enlighten me as to what sort of logic is being employed here? I am far from an epidemiologist or an expert on air-borne influenza viruses and so this is certainly outside of my circle of competence. Perhaps a bit of a history lesson is in order here: during the Spanish Flu pandemic of the early 1920s, health officials thought (correctly) that fresh air would ward off airborne diseases; then as now, cities rushed to move activities outdoors, from schools to courtrooms. When winter came in the early 1920s, the need for fresh air didn’t abate. According to my cursory research on this subject, the Board of Health in New York City were so in favor of increasing air flow in buildings, that they ordered that windows should remain open to provide ventilation, even in cold weather. More than a century later, this same sort of advice is being echoed by disease control experts as we continue to contend with the Covid-19 pandemic, making the Bay's door policies all the more confounding. The CDC, based on further recommendations from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Guidance for Building Operations During the COVID-19 Pandemic, strongly recommends that buildings open windows and doors, when weather conditions allow, to increase outdoor air flow. I imagine that part of the logic here is to reduce or control the amount of foot traffic in and out of the store, but there was no staff monitoring the amount of foot traffic into the mall or into the Bay store, which would render this sort of logic virtually meaningless. There also appeared to be an issue with the air conditioning in this part of the mall, which when compounded with the lack of outside air flow, gives me serious concerns about the health and safety of staff, who are forced to contend with not only a lack of sufficient air flow, but also with a mask mandate policy that can make it difficult for individuals to breathe in even the cleanest open-air environments. In conclusion, I am kindly urging that management reconsider their policy of closing off outdoor entrances and take a more 'science-based' approach to their pandemic protocol.

What can I say, paid for a couch and it never showed up some how, despite phoning them twice on delivery day. Stuff happens I get it but after being refunded and buying some where else I had to sit on the ground for almost a week with no furniture. Will not be going back. Perhaps they are shutting down?

I was in The Bay doing some Christmas shopping when I noticed a lady who works there was following me. She just wouldn't leave me alone. I finally confronted her and of course she denied it. She was quite rude, ignorant and obviously racially profiling me. I will not shop at the Bay in Penticton anymore. I was going to spend a lot of money there and decided to spend it elsewhere. She called another worker over to start following me. .When I asked the first lady for her name she turned away from me so I could not see her tag. I got it anyways and can you believe what her name was??? KAREN!!! I told her it was absolutely fitting for this situation. I laughed and walked away. I want an apology from the Bay and she needs some sort of discipline and proper customer service training on how to treat people. Especially people of another color! If I put this on YELP then they will tag this store as racist. I'm sure you do not want that do you???

Great products and friendly, knowledgeable staff but way over-priced. Other stores carrying comparable or the same items nearby are selling foruch less. We took our business to them.

One level of shopping. Cosmetic perfume counter staff... where are you?? Not staffed well. But lots of product that needs a sales person to help customers. Was disappointed. Store itself is nice
