Same thing as Russell. Stood there waiting to get in and no one around. Checked Google & hours say 5pm but another spot on Google shows 7pm but then a sign in the window says 4:30 so it’s confusing. I called to be hung up on then called back to have me transferred to get voicemail when it wasn’t 5pm yet. I got there at 4:15pm thinking 45mins should be more than enough time. Apparently not. Disappointing

I had to renew my insurance before it expired (that day) and I literally had no info with me. The girl was in training and she was so helpful and nice! It releaved alot of stress so I was very thankful

A year ago our car was totaled in a crash caused by an inattentive, uninsured driver, while running a stop light. It was determined that I was 100% not at fault. Not having made an insurance claim in about 44 years, the whole claims process and inconvenience of suddenly being carless was a new and unwelcome experience. Throughout the process of making the insurance claim, getting assessments of damage, renting a car and determining the final settlement, there were many questions and options that had to be negotiated. Again, this was a new experience. We had never before confronted the fact that it is next to impossible to rent a car in Salmon Arm. The people working at the Salmon Arm office at Piccadilly Place, of Hub International Insurance were patient and understanding and helpful to us. They deal with this kind of situation every day. It was new to us but they never made us feel like we were being unreasonable when we asked dozens of questions and needed some guidance in what to do next. Contacts with ICBC and Intact Insurance companies were required and the HUB staff were always able to make the connection and get questions answered. If one person was away, another had the answers we needed and helped us, almost immediately. In the end we feel that we received a fair settlement and got the refunds to which we were entitled. We appreciate all of the help we received. We got entirely what we paid for and it was done in a friendly and positive manner. That is good business. We've been Salmon Arm, Hub International clients for over 44 years and will continue to do business with them. R & J Thorne

This review is not Hub International, but only this particular location. If you have a normal (easy) renewal of a policy, this is a convenient location to do so. However, most everything else is frequently an issue. The staff view themselves as professionals in the business, but it appears most are trainees who have to call ICBC for advice on how to handle farm plates, out-of-province vehicle insurance and other things which you might expect trained staff to know. And these conversations on the phone with their help desk frequently take 30-45 minutes to complete. The worst experience is with their remote "road runner" staff, who defend their lack of knowledge by stating "I don't get into the office much". During the early months of COVID, renewals were done over the phone easily, and without delay. For those who cannot attend the office now, though, making the phone call for this service prompts the response "we only have one staff member that does this and she cannot contact you until next week". This agency represents several auto insurers, but on the last two (physical) visits to this location they did not want to offer a competitive quote since "I just got back from holiday and I forget my password for their website". And "it takes a long time and they are probably more expensive". On occasions such as noted above, request has been made for a more-knowledgeable member of the staff to assist. Although this location is staffed well on most days, even with non-tasked members of the office available the help is not given. Should you ask for the manager, the response on the last visit was "she is not here, and will return next week - you can come back then". The behaviors noted above are not unique to one staff member, although the "road runner" staff are the worst offenders. If you wish to deal with Hub as your insurance company, choosing another location for anything other than simple renewals is a really, really good choice.

Transferring personal plates was very complicated according to the numerous Brokers that I went to all telling me that I couldn't do it. One brokerage high lighting a phone # I could call ? I just assumed that maybe she would call ? ? the number and we could complete the transaction. So I called the number for her and was given the information she would have gotten to complete very poor service Ended up at Hub insurnce downtown Salmon Arm young agent was awsome and finished what several brokerages told me could'nt be done
