I was referred over to this company by a friend of mine as he had mentioned that their rates were aggressive. I spoke with Karen back on Friday July 26th and told her about my previous experiences when dealing with other brokers. She assured me that I was in good hands and that she would do her best to provide me with several options the following week. I emailed my existing policy to Karen so she could look over this. After not hearing back from her the following week, I followed up with Karen on the week of August 5th. Karen apologized for not getting back to me and told me that she was busier than usual (I understand, stuff happens) and assured me that she would get in touch with me later on that afternoon regardless if she had a quote ready or not. I have not heard back from Karen since. Based on this experience I would not recommend contacting this company for insurance quotes as they over promise and under deliver.

Wish I could give 0. I was given a quote for insurance. I signed up for it. 15 days after, I was told by them that they forgot to update the policy and gave me a quote based on old specs by the insurance company. With new specifications, the premium went up like 20%. All I got was a 'sorry' and 'deal with it' kind of response imposing legal terms on me saying that the policy document mentions that the rate was an 'estimate'. Take a bow guys, well played. Given their treacherous behavior, I couldn't continue with them. Cancelled the policy right away and switched to a much better provider. As I said, they didn't cover anything for me, and I had to pay the new 20% higher policy rate and the cancellation fee. HUB international, I still want a response on 'whose fault was it?'

I switched to Hub after I was quoted a better price, at the time I had 8 policies. The service I received was top notch and with the work I do I referred quite a few of my customers to Hub as well. Sadly the person I was working with left Hub and so did the top notch service. I started hearing from my customers that had referred to Hub where leaving Hub because they were extremely disappointed. I've experienced this for my self and have NEVER been more dissatisfied with my insurance provider. BEWARE not only is the service awful but the money you think your saving in the beginning doesn't last and don't think about cancelling a policy the Premium you will pay is criminal. I got charged over 30% of my policy as a premium (penalty) fee for ONE day of insurance. This was all because of how the agent cancelled my policy. Can't wait till i'm free of this company ! If you are looking for a great agent that will give you great service and someone you can trust, I'd be happy to refer them to you.

I have never written an online review, but feel I am obligated to warn others about Hub. I have never had such a terrible experience. I brough over 10K in insurance policies to Hub and expected that as brokers they would look out for my best interest. There was one policy in on a commercial property in another province that couldn't be transferred to Hub - which in hindsight was a blessing. What a contrast between the 2 brokers. Hub is staffed with individuals who pass the buck "that's not my department, that was before my time, I don't have any knowledge of that.." Hub sends no renewal notices, send no notifications about direct debit or auto payment issues, instead lets policies lapse without notice. My experience resulted in significant financial loses and I have complaints in to the Ombudsman and the Insurance Companies they were representing. Terrible customer service and certainly NOT staffed with insurance experts. If I can save just one person from experiencing the stress and financial loss I incurred I feel this review was worth it. I see replies from Hub to the posted negative reviews to state this isn't their normal level of customer service - I would argue that this is indeed their normal level of unprofessional service. Beware and stay clear
