★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Work was remodeling porch. Very difficult job. Outstanding in all facets of work and personable. The quote was reasonable, was on time. When asked about sundeck he advised I wait until spring when best to do work. I admire his honesty. Recommend highly and yes, he will be the 1st I ask.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nikolai is a straight-talking, informative, high-quality craftsman with specialized knowledge and skills in construction, plumbing, and basic electrical work. He approaches each component of the job with intense focus and high energy.
With Kevin, and Steven, his assistant, and other sub contractors he reconfigured and simplified the laundry area plumbing making this mundane aspect of life an elegant part our home. The upper floor bathroom has been transformed into a fully functioning 3-piece stylish haven, with a tiled shower that no longer leaks, tiled underfloor-heating, vanity and sink with simplified plumbing, and other modifications, including revitalizing a longtime leaking jacuzzi bathtub.
A relatively minor but important component of the contract was to repair frequently cracked, leaking concrete steps to the main front entrance to the house, which needed know-how and innovative solutions.
HRB maintained momentum throughout the project despite delays in supply chains due to Covid, uncertainties about prices for materials and equipment, and the last-minute unavailability of his contracted tiling expert due to covid fears. Because Nikolai communicated frequently we always felt assured that the work, schedule, and costs were under control.
Nikolai is confident in his abilities to solve problems as they arise. His "can-do", determined, and cheerful approach was reassuring, and his advice to prevent future problems has been very helpful. After the project was almost complete he made a special visit to dislodge a distant blockage in the kitchen sink drain - an unpleasant task requiring vigorous effort for which we were very grateful.
It's obvious that leaks have been a constant companion during our 38 years in this 80-year old house. We're confident now that they will not be a worry in the future since Nikolai will be our go-to person.
