★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered for the first time. The food tasted great and it was prepared and placed excellently in the take out containers.
Only item with issue was the Miso Soup. It tasted too salty or the miso mix was to high. Also Miso Soup should have tofu cubes and sometimes diced green onion. Mine had none.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hoya Sushi used to be the best restaurant in Rexdale, but a few weeks ago it was sold and under new management. They went ahead and changed everything that made the restaurant great. First, the prices went up by an average of 10-15%, which is understandable because of our recent rampant inflation, that we can thank Mr. Putin for! Half the menu has been changed or deleted and the actual menu design on the website, belongs more at a funeral parlour. The quality of the food has also diminished, so has the quantity! They no longer offer free miso soup and salad with a lot of the entrées, and they increased the 10% cash discount ceiling from $20 to $30.
All in all, I hope they go out of business soon so a better restaurant could take its place, because this area so badly needs better restaurants!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my new favorite place for sushi. We love their party trays but they weren't available today so I ordered individual rolls. They were really helpful and they even added a soup and salad without me asking with a cute little sticker on top of the lid. I appreciate those little details. Shows you care. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the best customer service. Their rolls are super small for the price they charge. I tried out the maki lunch 3 on one occasion and also their small party tray. You're better off going to Sake, who in comparison has great tasting, decent sized pieces for a better price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered Large Maki and Sushi tray. Fish was very fresh and maki was garnished with crispy toppings and so delicious. The assortment of tray was well-balanced and portion was decently enough to serve five people. The staff was friendly and location was very convenient for parking.
I am happy to have this restaurant in this town, and highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is fantastic and so tasty I ate before I remembered to take pictures! I got the Humber roll, Salmon combo, Rock and Roll, and Hoya roll. Each roll is unique and has its own flavour but I loved the rock and roll and hoya roll the best. The quality of the fish here is excellent and so fresh. I've bought food from here before and there's always been a high quality and consistency to the food. In the salmon combo, I especially loved how thick the sashimi portions were. Definitely come out and eat here if you're looking for good sushi around Humber College North Campus.
