I ordered a spinach and salmon salad and the salmon was almost raw in the middle. Service was horrible! I had to sit with a empty plate in front of me for more then half the time I was there. Really disappointed, was expecting a more efficient service.

2 adults and 2 kids went for supper on a Saturday. Good, quick service. I had the Poutine Houston, which was salty. My husband really enjoyed his Steak & Frites. Calamari entree was nice. Kid-friendly - coloring mat and crayons, kids meals with juice and ice cream.

My friend and I went on a saturday night and by surprise the hostess limited us to a “holiday menu” that was about 55$ for 4 meals. We just wanted to go for drinks and a regular menu to pick our food. I thought holiday menus were mainly for large groups but i guess things have changed now since covid. Moreover it was only 9 pm and their kitchen closed at midnight so i don’t think they were lacking food options at that time. Either way had to talk to the hostess to convince her to give us a regular menu as we didn’t want to be forced or limited to select from pre-made options. If i had known my options were going to be restricted i wouldn’t have went there in the first place. Anyways She spoked to management and sat us at a table with a “bar menu” . As the blonde waitress came to serve us she made an ordeal AGAIN stating that we cannot order from the bar menu and I told her we already went through this with the hostess and she already said it was okay so why is there another problem? She then proceeded to say she has to check with management etc . Then she came back and said it was okay but then switched with another waitress to serve us because I guess for her our table wasn’t going to be worth her time or tip money. Regardless of this our new waitress was super sweet and gave us excellent service so we tipped her 20% . I dont know why the restaurant is reducing their menus to pre-made holiday menu that included only two preset options, i mean if i wanted to be spoon-fed my options i would have stayed home it would be nice to have the freedom of choice to choose what i want to eat on a menu at a restaurant. I think that was none sense.

Nice place. I ordered the prime rib. It has been a long time since I have had this in a restaurant. I was satisfied but not wowed. My work colleagues ordered the tartar trio of beef, salmon and tune. That plate was delicious. Service was friendly and good.

Went to Houston's with a party of 24 tonight and, based on service delivered to me, my experience was extremely disappointing. I arrived later than the majority of the group, at 7:15, but they were all seated tightly around two tables already. There was just enough space for myself and my partner to squeeze in as well. I was happy to see a waiter came by fairly quickly to see if we wanted drinks, and to take the children's orders for food. One of the party wanted to place their entree order at that time, but they were told that the kids' orders were going in first. That's fine! No problem. From then on, it was a waiting game. It took around 30 minutes for the kids' food to come out. After that, it took another half an hour for the adult entree orders to be taken. By now, it's around 8:30 and everyone is ravenous. Our entrees collectively came out around 9:30, following a slow trickle of appetizers, which not many people ordered, and the kids' desserts. The delivery of the entrees was inconsistent and messy, with servers not knowing where to hand out plates. I figured they would have a system to do this, and no one in the party was swapping seats, but no big deal! We tried to help them send the food to the right place and it got there in the end. I ordered a Bacon & Cheddar Burger with skinny fries, and it was disappointing to realize that the kids' fries has been seasoned better than mine were. Comparatively, mine were bland and tasteless. My top bun was also cracked (see the picture) while the bottom bun was soggy, telling me that my food had been sitting ready for a while. The burger was average at best, tasteless if I'm honest. I heard better things from the people sitting around me, one of them ordered a California Chicken Salad and the other a Flat Iron Steak. We got our bills around 10pm, and got out of there as quick as possible. The servers were doing the best they could, given the tense circumstances (covid, busy Saturday night, big group), but I'm in no hurry for Houston to disappoint me on another occasion. Can't recommend and wouldn't go again.

Amazing steaks in this restaurant, I liked the ambience, music and decorations. Service is top quality, waitrese was very helpful on choosing steaks for us and choose the perfect drinks. Thank you so much for the great experience, we were really happy!
