Hôtel is overpriced for the room quality and size. Mold in the bathroom and door handle just fell off. Beam in the middle of a 200sft room with the smallest window at 400$ a night is a joke. Food and service were okay but nothing exceptional.the view is beautiful and that's the only redeeming quality. The Spa mixed up my booking with the Bromont location. So that was disappointing as no other options were offered. Overall bad experience, there are better places to stay that are more worth your money.

A great hotel, situated on the north shore of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Awesome views! They have 27 holes of challenging, picturesque golf that we enjoyed. Breakfasts were delicious. Dinner was not so enjoyable as the chef's menu was more gamey, and not to our liking. Also, portions are small. We'd definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel with an historic touch. Sadly the facade was in repairs during our visit. Grest view and outdoor space. Staff is friendly and professional.

I stayed at this hotel about 2 years ago and I returned this month. When a hotel has no competition in a relatively interesting destination, even if the rooms, service, and elite benefits are so-so, I am likely to come back nonetheless and this Fairmont is no exception. For my latest stay there were again some hiccups but overall I can continue to recommend it to people who would like to travel to that area. In the past my room upgrades were not very impressive at this hotel as Accor Diamond guest, and this time I booked the Accor STEP rate via a travel agent which includes a room upgrade. That combined with the power of Accor Diamond upgrades and very low occupancy (20%) due to covid closures of the casino and restaurants, I thought I had good odds of receiving a better room than in the past. None of the suites were available (they have so few of them) when I checked in but they upgraded me to a Deluxe room which was not large, but still much better and more spacious than the mediocre room I had last time. With all restaurants ordered to be closed, they offered breakfast as room service only which was actually quite nice for people desiring to have lazy mornings in bed, rather than going to the normally hectic buffet. The choices on the menu were interesting and food quality was excellent. For dinner they offered a normal in-room dining menu and also for the festive season they had a couple of multi-course options at higher cost. Somehow those kinds of special menus are a better fit for eating in a restaurant setting rather than eating in the room without even a dining table so we just stuck to the traditional in-room dining choices. Some facilities were closed due to covid such as the indoor pool, the kids club, and the gym, however outdoor activities were still available such as skating and they also had an inflatable castle for little ones. The outdoor pool was open and it was possible to reserve it ahead of time to avoid sharing it with other guests. Similar to last time, I had issues with the billing. First off they should have known that the Accor STEP rate always includes breakfast, but they took the liberty of adding the cost of breakfast in my base rate in an opaque way (instead of charging the total itemized cost of what we ordered), which I noticed and challenged. Also I was paying with Fairmont gift cards denominated in USD but they got the currency wrong and had to be fixed after I checked out. All in all, everything ended up square but it required some back and forth. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and we will continue to return in the future because Fairmont remains the best option in the area.

Stayed at the hotel next door but decided to go out for dinner here with a group of 6. The food was extremely overpriced for the quality. Small 8 Oz steak was $60. Local bottle of beer around $18. Service was terrible for the whole seating. Would not suggest their restaurant here. Our server seemed very clueless

Amazing service by the hotel staff We loved our room, the amenities and the kids activities The hotel was clean and beautiful. Very well located. The sceneries were breathtaking. The only disappointment was the food at the st-laurent restaurant. The service provided by the staff was amazing. We were just expecting more when it comes to the choices in the menu and the food (we were a table of 4 and the food was ready a couple of minutes after we ordered and did not taste anything)

Prime location in Charlevoix, a unique experience and pretty special to see a G7 memorial plate and having the staff explaining which country’s leader slept in which room. The decor inside gives a cool ambiance of a castle! The hotel also has multiple activities beside to do, like a hiking trail right beside the establishment so you don’t have to go too far. Just watch out when it’s high season, because it tends to get quite busy and crowded and the staff seems to be overwhelmed, service seemed a little affected during our visit, but overall it was still a fun stay!

Nicely situated with beautiful scenery. The restaurants are very good. The staff is very friendly. The pools are amazing. It was 0 C outside and the outdoor pool was so warm and relaxing. A few things that were a little disappointing; the room next to ours had ordered room service and the tray of leftover food remained outside the door for at least 24 hours. The shower tiles in our bathroom were moldy.
