The serving a pretty big and tasty so instead of going to the Mac Donalds next door I strongly recommend to go to this family owned restaurant. It will be about the same price but it is much much better. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the place need a good paint job.
Q	Q on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't eat here for a very long thing. Decide to give it a try again since I remember it was a good place. Service was slow and the waiter didn't seems very enthusiastic to serve. They might have an authentic menu but the food is below average. Taste wasn't good at all compare to a real authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Very disappointing since the menu was promising. If you want a good Pho, there's better one. If you feel for one of the specialized dished, try other as the flavor and freshness doesn't do justice to those plate. There's no reason to come back here.

I have seen some other reviewers mentioned their service is poor, and I would like to say it’s because of lack on politeness. My daughter used to order takeout from them, and they made mistakes on the order last time. It was in 2016 autumn. The one who took order was an Asian woman and my daughter found her French was very poor, not able to communicate. With this reason, my daughter said she wanted refund since this was not her order, and to our surprise, that woman suddenly growled at my daughter with a language which we could not understand ; I guess that is her first language. She kept yelling and throwing the stuffs on the reception desk as if she wanted to threaten my daughter. Finally, another waiter came before my daughter called 911. This was a French speaker and he fixed problem just after my daughter used a couple of sentences to explain the situation. But unfortunately, neither this woman nor the French speaker waiter apologized to my daughter. I think this is absolutely unacceptable.

She order the classic soup and I ordered the combo soup, spring roll and grill chicken and beef.. my spring Rolls arrived when my wife finish her soup... she happened to be a very very slow eater... so once I finished my rolls I brought my main course home to eat. Foodwise solid 4/5, service 2/5 (the waiter was clearly not very good) synchronization of the kitchen and front must be better~
P	Patrick Guay on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I certainly do not want to be negative to any decent restaurant in today's climate but if you were a fan of the previous incarnation of Dong Que, don't be surprised if you are disappointed with the Tonkinoise soup, it has changed. It is good, but the previous version was the best in the city.
