Horrocks Insurance has been family owned since 1996 when John Horrocks purchased a franchise of Ranger Insurance. In 2012 his son Chris Horrocks took ownership of the business and continued its operations.
Horrocks Insurance changed its name on May 1, 2016, after over 20 years of being a Ranger Insurance franchise. The office values remain the same – dedication to client satisfaction and focus on customer service. The long serving staff provide knowledgeable advice and trusted service for auto insurance, personal lines insurance and commercial insurance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in to transfer my drivers license from Saskatchewan to Manitoba. Also needed to get insurance and plates for my car. Walked in and and told them what my needs were. The girl behind the counter asked "do you have everything that you need to transfer?"
I said yes I do. I had my drivers abstract, Sask license, birth certificate, and inspection form for the safety done on my car. She asked, "do you have your passport?" I said yes but it isn't on my person. Out comes the highlighter and highlights the passport line on the qualifying form. She then says that I need my passport. I asked why, because I had my birth certificate. No you need your passport and kept pointing to that line. I'm a Canadian citizen and have never been asked for my passport to change a license over to another province. She was indignant and wouldn't listen. Needless to say, I grabbed all my papers and left. She missed out on a policy for renters insurance too. Found another broker, and guess what? No passport needed to qualify.
Won't be back there again for any reason!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been doing my insurance here for years. Staff is always able to answer my questions. Very friendly. I most recently went in to insure a vehicle I had purchased and they were able to straighten out an issue with my safety papers. Will continue to come here for my insurance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I also started going to Horrocks several years ago when I moved into the area. The service had always been very mediocre and unfriendly. They make you feel like you are putting them out when you come in with questions. They make you feel stupid. I stopped giving them my business and have also convinced several family members and friends to stop as well because the service is so atrocious. There are a million other insurance companies in the area so why support this one when they clearly don’t value their customers. If you don’t like talking to people and helping them out , then you opened the wrong kind of business. Do yourself a favour and go anywhere else but here.

Even when I've lost documents, or confused old ones for the recent ones, I've always been able to get what I needed. You can tell from the negative reviews that these were from people who couldn't fess up to their own mistakes. One even mentions they came in right as the place was closing, we all know entitled people like this, just the literal scum of the Earth.

Being from out of province, and to complicate things during COVID, we had a number of very specific transactions that needed to be completed. They were knowledgeable, caring, patient and offered us the best of customer service.
I would highly recommend Horrocks for any future business you may require.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went in there to get some information on purchasing a vehicle privately since it’s been a while since doing so, and the lady who greeted me was already mad that I had walked in there. She was getting easily frustrated with my questions and angry so I just walked out. I have been coming here for years for my license and vehicle registrations. I will not be returning.

Formerly they were a Ranger Insurance location but with the re branding to Horrocks the great staff that we have come to know is still the same.
