★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A couple months ago my sister and I hoped to have a nice flower planter delivered to our mother for a special occasion. My sister placed the order with Homestead Nurseryland & Florist by phone. The planter which was delivered was underwhelming to say the least. The flower species included were of low value and undersized. In my opinion an impartial person viewing this planter would estimate it to be worth about HALF of what we payed. My sister called the shop to discuss the issue and was met with a rather indifferent response. Our experience with this business was disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice greenhouse. Quite expensive though. The staff were quite helpful. I bought petunias here and although they were like $3 each ($60 for one 3ft by 3ft flower bed), they lived and grew and THRIVED for about 3 months. Even through the BC heat wave!

The cashier always seems really cranky and has damaged my plants transferring them to make it “easier” to count, each time I’ve been.
She also attempted to double charge me on a very expensive item, luckily another staff member came and I asked if it was correct.
Lovely nursery but I won’t return because I like to feel as though my business is appreciated.
Devons just up the street and they are great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered a flower arrangement and it was nothing like the pictures on the website.
I even paid the extra fee to “deluxe” it and it was still disappointing to say the least.
The flowers were wilted and on the verge of browning. The flower combination was not a variety but mainly comprised of cheap daisys. The arrangement was hastily put together that lacked depth and layering.
I contacted the florist and they disagreed with me despite the picture evidence provided. They insisted that they followed the recipe but when I referenced the Teleflora website (whom they say they got the recipe from) there was a difference in the recipes. They also claimed that the flowers were fresh. Homestead florist also refused to compensate or redo the arrangement despite the lack of satisfaction.
If the quality of flowers aren’t to par, I at least expect that the arrangement actually look composed and not just shoved into a vase.
This experience will make me think twice before ordering from across the province from online without actually going to the florist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Homestead Nurseryland is now my "GO TO" place for gifts, flowers, 'Xmas baubles and greenery, birthday cards, etc. What a great selection and great prices! The staff (and kitties) are so friendly, too! I didn't want to leave!!!
