★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lieu central à la croisée des chemins Craig et Gosford, le site patrimonial Holy Trinity est situé dans le canton d’Irlande secteur Maple Grove.
Dès le début du 19e siècle, Irlandais, Écossais, Britanniques et Américains se côtoient dans ce petit canton. L’arrivée progressive des francophones dans la seconde moitié du 19e siècle explique pourquoi aujourd’hui, ce lieu de mémoire anglican semble sorti du nulle part. Néanmoins, les traces de cette histoire riche unique aux cantons de l’est demeurent toujours visibles.
Central location at the crossroads of Craig and Gosford roads, the Holy Trinity heritage site is located in the Canton of Ireland sector Maple Grove.
From the beginning of the 19th century, Irish, Scots, British and Americans came together in this small canton. The gradual arrival of Francophones in the second half of the 19th century explains why today, this Anglican place of memory seems out of nowhere. Nevertheless, traces of this rich history unique to the Eastern Townships are still visible.
