★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect spot for local Dog Owners!
Beautiful and quite natural trails. I use these trails all the time and rarely see other visitors. The property is stunning and makes an easy hike with fur babies. These trails are sprawling over fields, marshes and wooded areas. Lots of wild life too see! ***Like any natural area it’s recommended to use tick and bug protection. My dogs wear tick collars and I use spray on them and myself when hiking, we’ve have never had an issue with bugs!
If you’re looking for a quiet place for a hike or a picnic, I highly recommend visiting this peaceful haven.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is beautiful gem of a Nature Reserve with several looped trails so you can tailor your hike to meet your mobility needs. The is something else! Now my favourite of all time! Many spots around the pond to sit and ponder or share the silence or stories with a friend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ High Lonesome Nature Preserve was a great day. My wife and I took the combination of trails that made the longest route around the perimeter and went through several distinct forest areas over the course of two and a half hours.
I think the best views were at Beaver Pond. But it was all so serene. We only passed other visitors hiking twice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place for a snowshoe! Variety of trees, ponds, and animal tracks. Most ascents and descents are pretty gentle, and it's practically impossible to get lost with all the signage. There were around 10 cars parked when we went (most along the side of the road - parking only fits 4 or so), but we barely encountered anyone on the trails since there are so many different trail options to take. The people who maintain it have put a lot of effort into making this a great place to visit.
