Ummm so I donβt know why this place has a good rating - I really cannot fathom.
I went on to read other reviews and turns out customers get happy because they get a few extra pieces of chicken that they throw in, REALLY?
Hereβs the real deal, my husband and I ordered a few non spicy pieces and they didnβt only taste devoid of basic spices, but do you know that cheap freezer taste that gets trapped in the chicken? Yes, I could taste that. Cringe worthy chicken.
Customers have even gone to the extent of saying this is better than Popeyeβs and KFC - LOL youβre kidding me. I guess throw a few extra pieces to some beggars and they like it!
I am a non vegetarian, but this is a meal where I actually felt bad for the chickens that give up their life - to probably be stored for months together in a freezer and then fried in yuck tasting batter.
I really would have loved to give the spicy chicken a try but I think this is one of those places where the meal is good as long and you eat it hot out of the fryer!

We always order their chicken wraps. I didn't mind the price increases when they informed the customers but when they replaced the strips with much smaller sizes it was very disappointing.
Along with the the fact that my parents used to get full off of one wrap (because even add-ons were a good amount) the last 4 times we ordered were all met with a total let down.
If you used to order from High Five when they first started you know the difference.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed.

β β β β β I like the fried chicken and munchers here. The staff are usually quite nice - often giving a few extra pieces than I ordered in my meal. Great for late nights since they're open into the early a.m. hours. For some reason, they run out of munchers pretty often though - like more than 50% of the time I crave them, they're unavailable. Not sure what's happening with the supply chain there. If you get the app, you can check when they're unavailable so you don't waste your time going when its out of stock. There's also a small discount with the app.

β β β β β Staff was very kind, gave me extra food as I had to wait 10-15 minutes however that wasn't even that long. Food was fresh, not greasy! In terms of flavour I've had better but this was still good!loved their fried pickels also

β β β β β 10 pc chicken was on sale for $24 so decided to give it a try. Pretty decent and I'd say it is better than church's and kfc. Not a fan of the gravy though. Really crispy skin and tender on the inside! The spicy chicken has a nice kick to it. They are open for 24 hours - not sure who would eat chicken during the midnight but there's apparently a market for that. Anyway, its a pretty solid chicken joint and I'll probably be back for more!

β β β β β I was surprised how helpful the staff was, when I went there at 11:00 pm. They have me a sample of their chicken strip as I waited for my meal to be completed. The chicken meal had light batter and the chicken tasted amazing. It is good to see this franchise expanding in the lower mainland.

β β β β β Foodβs consistently good. Chicken is always fried fresh, crispy, hot, and juicy. Fries are better than other fast food places.
Service is always good, might be a little slow during busy hours but understandable.
Prices are slightly higher than other chains like Churchβs but in my opinion, get the lunch promos and their 10piece promos. Those are such good value for money.
Iβd highly recommend getting takeout and quickly bringing it back to share!
Amazing place, amazing food, amazing service, okay prices.
