I came here several times, and for every occasion, was overcharged for products I did not buy. Always double check your receipt. Also when I called them and told them about this recurring issue, the store representative was extremely rude and said: "Why are you calling to waste my time about being overcharged 4 dollars?" They could not even apologize. Will not come again. EDIT: The employee at the store did not even apologize, let alone offer refunding the amount.

Unprofessional staff specially in bakery section of Herat Bazar. Hygiene is even very poor. I was recently there for some bread and saw the lady in the bakery who prepares bread was rubbing her sweated body and head with her hand and touched bread which is really bad. You should train your staff how to respect the hygiene and how to deal with customers.

Unfortunately, the butcher section of this store has poor quality meat. The people who work in this department are very bad-tempered and do not have a good service staff at all. If you are concerned about your health, please do not buy from the butcher of this store. I almost come to Herat Bazaar to prepare meat. Ten days ago, I went to prepare meat according to the routine, but someone in the butcher department urged my wife to take the bone, and with a lot of insistence, she took it finaly. When we got home, we found that the bones were rotten and could not be used at all. I called immediately but the store was closed. The next day I called again and another person was told to freeze them and return it whenever I have time, and I came back and I did it but the person who insisted on buying those bones mocked me very rudely said I am a Canadian citizen. Being a Canadian citizen is not a good reason to sell rotten meat, so I would very much like to take the matter to City so that this person can no longer play with the health of the people in our community.

Very disappointing experience here. The restaurant that is supposed to be in this grocery store has listings on the Too Good to Go app. I made purchases through the app and came all the way from down town to pick up my order shortly after the pick up time window started. When I got there, there was no food and the person working there said he had no idea what I was taking about even after I tried to show him the information on the app. There was no manger or supervisor in the restaurant or store. Huge waste of time and now I have to deal with the inconvenience of trying to get my money back in addition to wasting my time coming here to pick up an imaginary order. The people I encountered working in the store were not particularly friendly either. I buy from and shop in a lot of other Afghani stores so the unfriendly vibe is first for me. The bakery area with the cookies and bread both looked good. The store is not too cluttered. It has potential, but they need to sort out their issues with the vendors renting space there to not waste people's time and offer a more positive shopping experience. To the manager of this grocery store even if you try to say you rent out the spaces to the other vendors in the store, too bad it still reflects on your business reviews so you might want to invest sometime monitoring what the vendors you rent space too are doing. There are many other Afghani and Persian grocery stores throughout the city so not planning to venture here again after my bad experience.

Great store for Afghan foods. Meat department butcher Bahaa is super friendly! There’s a restaurant and a bakery as well. The Shiryakh (Icecream) is absolutely delicious. Only problem is that they’re usually quite lethargic to make it for you as it requires some churning. And it is also quite expensive. $12 for a large. Most other places charge $6-7 for similar size. The cookies and baklava look awesome too.

Not happy with food. Not fresh food. Over charged me. I orders soup. They warm up and packed for me. If you don’t have fresh soup. Just say we don’t have it. Don’t warn up the and pack without saying anything.

The prices in this store are much higher than other similar stores even with the stores close to it. The behavior of the cashier that was in the checkout section, I don’t know if he was the owner or not, was very unprofessional and he did not care about the customers. When I told him that their price for the item I just bought is much higher than another store and asked for a price match, he didn’t accept to do the price matching. I asked him if I can return it. He accepted first, but when I came back two to three minutes later, he refused to refund me. I think they cannot keep the customers with this type of disappointing behavior.
