Helna’s Stube

Even though they were busy, service was excellent, food was exceptional! It was nice sitting down and relaxing for once. Note: If you come into a restaurant and just order soup & salad during a busy time, don't expect fast service, you want that type of service go to a "fast food restaurant" not a restaurant that is classy.

Been a few years, food was fantastic and service was super friendly. Always a "goto" place when in Radium/Invermere.

I can't say how much I loved Helnas, the food was amazing and the atmosphere unbelievable. A small gem in Radium. As well our waiter Zoran is a an absolute champ, unbelievable service 5/5

Would not recommend ! overpriced mediocre food at best. slow service, cold dining room, and having to listen to the kitchen pound schnitzel every few minutes definitely doesn't make you feel like you're in a better class restaurant that charges you $30+ for an entree and almost $20 for a small appetizer. With my mushroom schnitzel, the schnitzel was ok (not much you can do wrong there anyways), however the veggies were undercooked, and the mushroom sauce had no flavor whatsoever. my wife's Jaeger Spätzle wasn't any better, absolutely no flavor. don't think the chef ever heard of seasoning any food. there are other restaurant options available in Radium and surrounding area where I'm sure you will be much happier with the food and atmosphere.

Well worth the wait if you walk in. IF you have time to make reservations, do it! The service was great, the food was Amazing! Would definitely come back again if in the area

We all decided to Have the Beef Roulade. It was so good. Served with Spatzle and veggies. I had ice cream with Chocolate and my cousins had the struddle and the hazelnut cake. Highly recommend you make a reservation as they are busy and had to turn people away.

HELmut (cook) + NAtasha (dining room manager) = HELNA'S. I have been coming fairly regularly to the Radium area ever since I was a small child. One tradition I have is that I always stop by and eat German food for dinner. I have done this at the old restaurant located on the main highway as you enter Radium each time until tonight. This time, one of the locals recommended that I come to Helna's instead. I came with my family and had an incredible experience! The staff were so friendly and patient with my two young (elementary school aged) boys. They would listen intently to what they had to say and would even continue the conversation to discover more of their thoughts. My boys lit up at how important it made them feel to be addressed directly like that. The food was so amazing that we took a veritable tour of many of their dishes! We couldn't stop eating! LOL We started off with two of their amazing soups, the French Onion Soup and the Goulash. They came out quickly and were PIPING HOT ? which warmed us up like a big hug ?. That got everyone settled down and relaxed for a wonderful evening. Then the Caesar salad and Baked Brie came out and everyone dug in together and shared with delight. The meals came out and were each a HIT with all of us. They all looked and tasted so great that we all shared with each other (a true family dinner)! We rarely order dessert at other restaurants but enjoyed the authentic atmosphere, food and friendly service so much that we had to see the huge list of temptations that they have here. The children each received Ice-cream with a Hazelnut/chocolate sauce on top (yummy) and then we all shared Apple Strudel and Crème Brulé. That paired with a delightful Latte at the end was a the perfect way to end an incredible meal! Helna's has been open for 23 years and I finally tried it out. It WILL NOT TAKE ME 23 YEARS TO COME BACK!!! I will be making this my new GO TO SPOT for my German food craving stop each time now!
