L	Larissa Cannon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't have a great experiencing doing my recent CPR/First Aid Training in Barrie. Considering we are in the middle of a COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, I was expecting more precautions would be taken to ensure health and safety during the training, especially from a health organization working on behalf of the Red Cross. I was very uncomfortable with how it went. We were informed that we could practice in buddies (direct contact) if we wanted to - a direct violation of public health guidelines. That being said, nobody was comfortable with it, so nobody did it thankfully. Further, the materials we were using were supposed to be sanitized before and after the course, with one set of materials per participant. However, the instructor was touching her mask often, even coughing into her hands, and then handled the participants' materials without sanitizing her hands first. There was a bottle of sanitizer on site; but I didn't see the instructor or any of the participants (besides myself) sanitizing their hands even once throughout the 8 hour training. Moreover, the instructor would move into the personal space of participants, and even lay her hands on them during the training. In addition to the health and safety measures, I can say that the learning material was skimmed over too, and many of the skills could not be practiced effectively as a result of distancing. Overall, I was not pleased with my training experience.

Answered everyone questions with great detail giving examples or drawing on the board to further explain. I would take again in the future. Thank you Heart 2 Heart!

The hands- on exercises helped me understand and apply my knowledge in person; which was helpful. I was able to place myself in a scenario of a medical emergency and use my cognitive and physical skills to help me get through it. Will definitely be back next year for re-certification. May even take a few extra courses in between. Thank you!
W	WRS Productions on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best CPR and First Aid training course I’ve ever taken!! My instructor was a man named Cecil and he is a retired paramedic and also did autopsy’s. He had great stories to tell from his time as a paramedic which made the course a lot more fun. The time went quickly. I did a two-day course that was from 9am-5pm each day. The class went by really quickly as Cecil was able to make it enjoyable. I’ve been in the first aid arena for about 7 years now and this was by far my favourite first aid course I’ve ever done! The class takes place in the basement of the Monte Carlo INN in Barrie. It’s very easy to find and the people at the front desk of the hotel can help you find it. They provided us with water bottles which was nice! There was a total of 9 students in my class, 10 people in total when you include Cecil. All COVID rules were followed and everything went really well. Thanks Cecil for the great class!!!
