★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet place to go by the lake. It has a lot of weeds but it has a spot to launch a boat. It's kind of hidden down a gravel road. You will need a good 4-wheel drive truck and mud tires or a winch to launch a boat as it is a bit muddy and the water is shallow. The beach and boat launch definitely needs some work. Its a very quiet place to go. Not many people go there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Hawthorn Beach in July 2018, this development is a nice quite area. Not busy like many other developments in the area. It has a rocky,sandy shoreline with some bulrushes which is quite typical for this end of Lake Manitoba. There is no boat launch. The municipal road allowance runs right to the lake which I guess if you wanted to launch a boat you could, very shallow. This road is not part of the development. There is a couple of homes/cottages that are built and from what the developer is saying there will be more being built soon. Prices are very good for a nice size lot. Overall it is a nice quite little development.
