Best German restaurant in Canada

M	Mark C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its been a while since I've eaten here and have finally gotten around to writing a review. If you are looking for authentic German schnitzel then you have absolutely found the right place - these guys knocked it out of the park. I think i ordered the pepper schnitzel - it had some heat and hit the spot would order it again. The potato croquettes were absolutely unreal - you can tell the attention to detail in their craft that the cooks put into them and the rest of their dishes. My fiance had the Zigeunerschnitzel i believe, and I got to try some of that and it was another hit. Bottom line, if you are looking for the real deal then get yourselves over to Haus Falkenstein - you wont be disappointed. They also have awesome decor all around the interior that gives information about the area in Germany that the owners are from - in the mining districts up North (i think thats where). They have a bunch of sports memorabilia from the Schalke football team as well which is really cool, pretty obvious the owners are big fans. I like that kind of thing so if you're into that, you will too. Forgot to mention the currywurst - i could eat that breakfast lunch and dinner for the rest of my days you GOTTA order that. 10/10 would eat here again.

Small entrepreneur, they need our support more than chains. They work hard for their money. I really advice you to go there for e goodbye of German food, European food.

Besides the fact that the food is delicious and plentiful, the service is friendly and speedy. Silke is always accommodating and goes out of her way to see that we are well taken care of. We love to bring friends and family here to share in the experience. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Unfortunately we don't have a German Restaurant in Calgary so when we visit Edmonton we always have a visit to this restaurant. There is a German restaurant in Bragg creek but they don't make Zigeuner schnitzel. Staff are very accommodating and you feel very welcome. Love the decor.

They come with fries or potatoes croquettes (both are very nice) and a side salad. Service was good. Reservations are required as they prepare the schnitzel fresh every day. Give them a try, you will be happy

I cannot recommend this place enough, very comfortable dining atmosphere nice and laid-back kind of feels like going over your favourite Aunt and uncle’s for a good meal?
