I literally had to hang up on this woman crying after the way she spoke to me. Being First Nations person in this community can have it's bad days. Today I was reminded of how many people in this community think about First Nations people. Not going to call back there.

It's a great gathering place in PG.

We had just celebrated New Years at the Hart Crown Hall for the very 1st time! The decor was beautiful, there were even gorgeous chandeliers we have never seen before in any other Hall in PG. This made it that much more elegant and classy. There were 2 VIP tables set up on either side of the Hall so couples may have the option of enjoying a more intimate atmosphere. There was an on stage photo booth with loads of props... which was so very fun the whole family. What our family found to be cool is that they had a Teen table set up as well so we can bring our 14 year old daughter to celebrate with us. This was the very 1st time that we could actually take her to a New Years Party outside of our home. Many other families were also very happy to be able to include their teens in celebrating New Years. We had a great time as a family ringing in the New Year together with great food, fun and dancing to music and MCing of an amazing local DJ... Ryan B. Lai of Rhythm and Sound DJ Service & Photobooth! He really hit a home run with the cross music styles he played throughout the night. Ryan kept people on the floor literally the whole night through. The food was fantastic! The Prime Rib and Yorkshire pudding was simply amazing! Many said it's the best they have ever tasted! There was a mix of vegetables and even a few tasty East Indian dishes for those who enjoy the taste of other cultural foods. Desert was great and snacks later in the evening really did hit the spot to re fuel you as the night went on. The staff (Brenda, Barbara, Ron, Missy, Tom, etc) were all very helpful and easy to please as they went out of their way to make sure that everyone had a fantastic time! And finally the owner, Bharpur (quietly helping all kitchen staff in the kitchen throughout the evening) was there throughout the whole day and night to oversee that everything and everyone was looked after properly. Bharpur and Brenda worked diligently to insure that our kids were also allowed to attend. THIS WAS HUGE FOR US! The Balloon drop and games throughout the night that Ryan hosted were soooo much fun....for teens and adults both! Literally, everyone went home laughing and smiling, saying they'll be back next year again. Truly excellent evening! The grand prize was a 55" Sharp Smart HDTV....which was won by a lovely couple that almost couldn't make the celebration due to hubby having to work out of town. And to top it off......the free 20 seater shuttle ride by Paxton was very much the icing on the cake. No one had to drive home if they didn't want to. This made for a safe evening of fun for all! We personally haven't had more fun in celebrating New Years in PG....and we've been to a few New Years parties since moving here in 2000. Our family highly recommends this wonderful Hart Crown Banquet Hall to anyone who is looking to book their wedding reception, Birthday or Anniversary celebration, any event (as the Hall can hold up to 300 people we were told) or corporate Christmas Party and sooo much more. From our personal experience....definitely for all who wish to have a fantastic New Year celebration together with their family (13+ children) book your tickets for next year early as it will be Sold Out fast!
