B	Becca on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No tables. When we asked for a table they had no idea what to do and owner was no where to be found. No water service nearby Washrooms were far Campsites we stayed at was pretty much a parking lot. No grass. Small lot. The customer service desk was very far golf carts they provided were over priced for the amount of time they allowed us to rent them. Overcharged for wood and ice Very unorganized staff. Only good thing about this place was the other campers
K	Karen Rivera on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drive was long for something we were not expecting. Campsite was a parking lot with gravel. No grass, no picnic tables, no privacy! Everything was overpriced from wood to ice and a single cup of coffee. If you plan on coming here bring your own equipment for activities as they over charge for rentals of any sort. Staff was very clueless to say the least, not helpful at all. Campground was definitely a huge disappointment and an unpleasant experience. This place doesn’t even deserve a star on how awful it truly was. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Please keep looking there are so many other places around the area.
T	Tammy JGA on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here with my family. When we got here we were brought to a campsite that looked more like a parking lot. A little unimpressed by that. we had no picnic tables and we had two lots reserved and not a single table was there. We brought it up to the office and the girls running the place are kind however it seemed like they didn’t know how to handle the situation and gave us blank stares and offered no solution other than to take a table from another campsite. (I think it’s safe to assume that’s what happen to our tables) Eventually a table was brought to us by management later in the evening. The washrooms are a bit of a walk but that’s to be expected. They have golf carts you can rent which is 67$/until 9pm(which kinda sucks because it wasn’t a 24 hour rental) we rented 2 canoes which were 100$ plus. The lake is quite the walk and not very close to the campsite we were staying. The campsites are EXTREMELY close to each other and therefore don’t expect much privacy from neighbouring campers. My family and I had a good time here but I don’t think we will be coming back to this campground.

Sure, increase the fee a bit for upgrades, but if you’re going to buy a park that needs work thats your issue. $3000 on top of what is already being paid is crazy. I can’t imagine people are too happy with the new owners now, especially with the amount of attitude they give.
S	Shawn Hills on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been here two years and probably won’t stay past this year. Most of our friends have been here longer than 20 years and they are pulling out too. The park was purchased by a corporation and they raised the leases by a minimum of 3000 dollars and no upgrades or new amenities for the seasonal folk. Sad because it was such a wonderful place before corporate greed moved in.
S	Susan Wilson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a seasonal lot holder for approximately 30 years. Three generations have enjoyed it. Now with a 63% fee increase we have to say goodbye. The park has been taken over by Harmony Resorts corporation and they said increase was to provide them with capital to upgrade the park and provide us with amenities. We won't see anything in the near future. They are bringing in several tiny homes. This does not benefit me. I don't understand why the upgrades and new amenities were not completed first then fees adjusted accordingly. Just my opinion.
G	Grace Poole on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This beautiful little campground now has a black cloud over it thanks to the new owners. Harmony Resorts came in with an agenda and didn’t care who they hurt. Families with a 30+ year history, elderly and loyal seasonal campers have been forced out due to a ridiculous and unwarranted 60% + yearly price increase. This new ownership has made the environment in the park toxic. For these reasons, I do not recommend South Algonquin Resort to anyone looking for a seasonal spot or a temporary getaway. If you’re browsing their social media - buyer beware! The behind the scenes reality is not so picture perfect.
E	Emily Zufelt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend this campground! They offer gas, food, and essential camping supplies. The staff there are very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. And given that the park recently changed owners, the staff there have been absolutely amazing about the changeover. I also look forward to renting one of the beautiful tiny homes they recently added to the park. If you are in the area you should definitely check it out as it is one of the hidden gems in the Harcourt area
