The receptionists are all bullies who clearly peaked in high school! Do your job. Also the doctors are all useless and need to retire.

I come to this clinic to get my med's only to find out once I paid for parking that it's only open Monday, Thursday, Saturday for the walk in clinic. Very nice looking office from what I could see though the door. If I waouw have seen on the web site that it was only open on them day I woukwoul have waste my time or money to come.

I have always really liked Dr.Ek but his receptionist has gotten absolutely unprofessional as the years have gone by. She is rude, cold and miserable. I have considered changing doctors as a result.

If I could give this 0 stars I would I’ve never liked having Dr Ek as a family doctor. As an adult I actually dread having to make an appointment with him because it’s always unpleasant and extremely disappointing. Any concerns I have regarding my mental health he either doesn’t take seriously or doesn’t care. He’s never referred me to a specialist or someone I can talk to so I had to go to Norwest instead (where they ACTUALLY help my problems and at least seem to care). My other big issue is when I had concerns about my stomach bloating, and when I went in for my appointment to see what was wrong he told me it was that I was pregnant. He was super cold about it, and scheduled an appointment with Thunder Bay Ultrasound and that was it. He didn’t tell me my options for what I should do or what I could do. He basically told me I was pregnant and sent me off. I think he is an unprofessional, rude, jerk and who’s never once been helpful in anyway every time I have gone in. The walk-in clinic has been more helpful and Norwest who I now go to in regards to my mental health and addiction. I’m changing doctors as soon as I get the chance.

I've just spent over ten minutes trying to get through to them on the phone, only to get a busy signal, and this is completely normal for them. When I go into the office for an appointment, the receptionists are either talking to each other and actually ignoring ringing phones, or making personal, social calls. I have actually seen them on more than one occasion answer the phone, ask if they can put someone on hold, then continue their conversation with the person beside them. To say the office staff is unprofessional is an understatement. I've never had any issues with the actual medical staff. But my struggles with the reception is enough to make me seriously look at switching to a different doctor. If you have a choice, don't go here. Just don't.

The receptionist I spoke to is not very nice at all. I am considering switching clinics. Very cold & rude. Dr. Mary Valente on the other hand is a great doctor!

Awful service. Pre and Post Pandemic, “sorry we don’t do phone call appointments” and then meanwhile they wouldn’t see you during the pandemic “sorry we only do phone call appointments”. Their phone system literally says “some appointments will be made by phone.” Super convenient that doctors aren’t able to see their patients either way ? As a student out of town, who also has to work, there is no accommodation. Better to just use the Telus Health App, they on the other hand are AMAZING. Appointments any time you need and consultations over video call with professionals.

Only see you for like 3 seconds, called to make an appt on phone and they try their best to make you feel guilty for trying to book an appointment. Secretary tried to diagnose me and convince me not to come. I dont want to just look up stuff online but what else are you supposed to do when the doctor gives u almost no time and answers no questions (Dr Kennedy at the walk in) ? Idk if its covid fatigue or smthin but the doctors here rly did used to care abt their patients. I knew that when I came here I would get great treatment, now they couldnt care less. Maybe they feel overwhelmed by demand of patients? The contrast to 3 or 4 years ago is stunning. Regret having a family doctor here, avoid if you can!
