★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When getting pregnant I wondered do I really need a doula? YES, i couldn’t say enough about how helpful it was having Candy be apart of our journey! Candy is such a kind, knowledgeable, easy going, patenient, (the list goes on) person. I couldn’t recommend her more!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Times were tough with my first baby, so with second baby on the way I resolved to do things differently. I had never heard of a postpartum doula before, but omg what a game changer! Andrea SAVED us in the early days! Everything from how to keep baby boy from soaking pee through his diapers to general companionship on a long and isolated day. Andrea dispenses advice in a very gentle and sensitive way, which is so important when a new mom has hormones raging through like crazy. She also made sure to discover a list of things that I would find helpful or that help me feel my best self, so that she could remind me of those things when I was focusing on caring for everyone but myself. That’s what a doula is - someone to care for YOU so that you can focus on baby! When Andrea went on a brief and much-deserved vacation, she left me in the capable care of Kristy. It is a rare woman that can make you feel NOT guilty when you call them at 2am (in tears, yay hormones) and she was the kind and soothing voice on the other end of the call who made it seem like she’d just been waiting for me to phone, and was pleased that I had. These ladies have made my second entry into motherhood so much easier. If I could gift every mom in the world the assistance of a postpartum doula, I would. PS- they both wor masks in my home and I felt comfortable having them here despite the pandemic. No small feat. Can not recommend strongly enough! Ten stars!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When the suggestion of a doula came up initially, I wasn't sure it was for us. I was wrong. Andrea's support during my pregnancy, and most importantly in the delivery room was crucial! As first time parents, we had no idea what to expect during the labour process - and birth is no picnic. I speak for both myself and my husband when I say Andrea was one of the best decisions we made! Her emotional support & calm nature was amazing while I was in labour, and following the birth of our daughter, her knowledge was beyond helpful and she was there if we needed anything, had questions or just wanted an extra ear! Thank you Harbour City Doulas!
