I could not recommend their service more. An airline that treats people like people. Personalized service. Love using them.

A seaplane is a very good option to get from Vancouver Mainland to Vancouver Island. They have a complimentary shuttle bus service from Vancouver International Airport to their terminal at Richmond on the Fraser River. We took a flight from Richmond to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island in June-2019. We had booked a 5.30 pm flight but reached the terminal earlier than expected. The staff was very courteous and accommodated us on the earlier 4 pm flight. We waited in the lounge and had some complimentary cookies and coffee. Our luggage was weighed and tagged. There is a limit of 50 pounds per person but extra luggage can be taken on a token payment of $1 per pound. Window seats can also be reserved on extra payment. The actual flight time from Vancouver to the Nanaimo Harbour across the Strait of Georgia is only 20 minutes, compared to about two hours taken by a ferry. The take off and the landing on the water was very smooth, smoother than the huge Boeing take-offs from Mumbai and Hong Kong. The scenic view from the window was very enchanting, and we saw a couple of BC Ferries crossing the Strait down below. The pilot was very competent and the staff were very courteous. We quite enjoyed our first time experience on the seaplane.

Had a really good experience flying from Richmond to Victoria on Harbour Air. The flight is quick and its fun. Definitely more convenient than taking the ferry if you don't require a car.

I love Harbour Air!!! I have flown with them many times and have always been impressed by their team and customer service. I most recently needed a parcel to be shipped to the Richmond Harbour from Nanaimo and Oliver from The Express Shipping department made it happen it no time. He arranged a courier for pick-up 2 hours before the scheduled flight because I required it the same day. Thank you soo much for all your hard work!!!

This was such a pleasant experience. I took my first ever Harbour Air Seaplane trip this weekend from Richmond/YVR. I booked online a few days in advance and arrived to check in 30 minutes before my trip, as they asked. The people at the counter were very personable and walked me through their process. There was zero attitude about my not knowing the process, which is something I've experienced in other businesses. If I said anything dumb they didn't let on :) They told me exactly what they wanted me to do, and it went smoothly! The waiting area had lots of nice comfy seats, hand sanitizer, and a coffee machine. I think there were 3 people at the plane helping us board, including helping a mom get her young child up into the plane. I also travelled back to this terminal, and I witnessed the folks helping us off the plane carry a checked stroller to the parents, and later I saw those parents outside the terminal thanking an employee for helping them all the way out the front door of the terminal, which was so kind because the ramp from the water to the terminal was crazy steep, and they had rolling luggage in addition. The seatbelt was too small for me, so in the Nanaimo terminal on my way back I asked at check-in if they had seatbelt extenders, and they kindly ensured there were some on board and discretely handed them to me when I was seated. They had extenders for both the seatbelt and the floatation device. Everyone was just so kind and proactively helpful.

A pricy transport option to the Island but check-in and deplaning is quick and painless, and offers great views. About 30 minutes in the air from Richmond to Victoria harbour. It took me about an hour to arrive at the terminal via public transit from East Van - there's a restaurant/bar inside the station that you can have breakfast at. A big benefit is also landing right at Victoria inner harbour, compared to the 1 hour drive from Schwartz Bay when taking the ferry.
