Quiet dock to grab the ferry back to the city. No food or drink places were open due to covid.

Hanlan's Point ferry dock is only good if you are planning on going cycling or staying in the immediate area. They used to have a free shuttle (then a paid shuttle) over to Centre Island but this seems to have stopped years ago now. The other two docks are better in my opinion.

Take your bike and a good book and a ferry ride to an oasis of calm and quiet stillness. This oasis is only a short distance from the downtown core but lightyears away in terms of the difference between downtown noise and the tranquil environment the island provides. Consider the ferry dock to be the gateway to this shrangila.

The island is very nice and calm. You've got a gorgeous view on the skyline of Toronto from here. Ferry can be crowded and especially in the evening the all people want to get back to the city you probably have to wait some time. But it's worth it. There is also a "clothes-optional beach" at the island.

Great views of the Six from here! The ferry ride over is quite nice especially on a warmer summer day. Love this city !

Beware this return ferry has less capacity than the other two island ferries, and there is absolutely no lineup control on the island for boarding. The boat ferries vehicles but the staff do not restrict the vehicle ramp traffic. Passengers routinely and selfishly skip the line and walk directly on to the boat, leading to disappointment for those who dutifully lined up and then are told the boat's full and they'll need to wait an hour for the next ferry. A simple gate and/or railing system would go a long way to prevent boarding from becoming a free-for-all.

Named after Canada's greatest oarsman, this ferry dock on the western end of the Islands is less busier than Centre Island or Ward's. It's usually where the few vehicles on the island get shuttled back and forth into the mainland. It has a covered waiting area with a small snack bar. It also offers pretty a good vantage point for the annual airshow when the CNE is happening or you can just lazily hang about watching planes land into Billy Bishop all day long all year long.
