Conveniently located right outside of Parry Sound, this campground is in a gorgeous mixed forest of mature trees surrounded by lake waters. One of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever seen, featuring squirrels and blue jays and autumn leaves everywhere. The owner/caretaker was very friendly and helpful. The one big inconvenience is the absence of a dump tank. The caretaker was kind enough to lend us a 20-gal. plastic tank on wheels to dump into. The idea is to pull this tank up the hill using your vehicle, then lift it to bench height in the designated outhouse, and dump out into the seat hole. Alternately, Instead of using your RV bathroom, you could go to one of the many reasonably clean outhouses or use the free shower. There is no sign at the camp ground entrance. The office area could benefit from a clean-up. The roads are rough, and some of the wooden signs that direct you to campsites are broken or weathered beyond legibility. There is a beautiful sandy beach with a swim dock and swing sets that probably had swings once. Our campsite had a nice picnic table and stone fire pit with grill, but oddly enough they were located on the wrong side of our camper! Garbage was left at several sites which became scattered or was left in the fire pits. The infrastructure is generally old and in need of repair, but this didn't bother us since miraculously, the power and water worked well all weekend. It is very peaceful here except for some traffic noise from Hwy 400. Many of the sites are right on the lake, ideal for canoeing and fishing. There are also a number of tent sites. We were visited by a gentleman who told us that the campground is coming under new management who plans to fix up the place. This is wonderful news, because we have rarely seen a campground with so much potential.

Absolutely loved this campsite we stayed 3 days, the camp sites are leveled and smooth very clean and very nice stone fire pits, bring an extra tarps or two there's a lot of sand and it would have been nice to put a tarp under the kitchen tent and one in front of the tent to minimise the sand getting into it but a little swepping and its was all good. We plan on going back.

Managers are very friendly to the campers. They try to be very helpful. The campground is from the 40s and 50s. It's been let go and needs major up grades. They don't have proper bathroom facilities. They have portable toilets, and out houses. There are no showers on site. They don't have a dumping station. When l was making the reservations I asked if the sites had 30 amp service , with water hook and a dumping station. I was told yes. We were going with 3 trailers . They said they could accommodate all on a big site. Upon arrival we were only to find they only had 15 amp service and we all had to hook up to the same water tap. The manager then denied all.The site could house 3 large trailers right on the water which was nice. When we went to pay for the sites we then were told they only take cash. They said they had a credit card machine, but didn't know how to use it. We travelled 2 hours from home. The road into the campground needs major work. If you have a large trailer it's hard to get in. We had 30 foot trailers and had trouble getting in. They charged each of us $56.00 a night , which we felt was over priced for what we got. We made the best of our stay , as there were not openings anywhere else close by. When we went to their camp store to make a purchase, they had no money to make change. We found that odd when they only take cash. We have been campers for over 20 years never had a experience like this. We orginally booked as the reviews on the website were favourable. L. Yaniw.

Two years ago it was not nice but current staff have made it a pretty little spot to enjoy camping or even just a day at their beach. Friendly people go out of their way to try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Rustic cottages have a view of Mill Lake that is nice to enjoy while having a morning coffee or a nighttime campfire.

I have passed this little piece of paradise for years and finally booked a weeks vacation for Hall's. The owners are fabulous, friendly and very accommodating. The views onto Mill Lake are breathtaking. By far my favourite place to be for camping❤

My family has been camping here for about 40 years if not more, we love this place and hopefully it will remain as it is now. The only thing that we miss every time is not seeing Mr. Hall walk past our campsite and saying hello, we will always have him in our hearts. If you need to get away from the city and relax this is the place for you and yes you can hear the highway and the train whistle every so often but it's not a thing you can't ignore. Linda and Jim were so nice, thank you for keeping the place as it is. We'll be back next year.!!!

Friendly family-owned cottages and campsites including some for trailers. On tranquil Mill Lake. Secluded but not remote. A huge property where local cottagers can rent a boat slip for the season. They are working on updates to this generations old place. Linda and Jim are the welcoming hosts. Listen to distant train whistles and calling loons. A photographer’s delight. Good fishing too!
