About Half Pints Brewing Company
Half Pints Brewing Company was born in the summer of 2006.
As an idea, we were certainly different than the others before us. Start small, grow slowly, and above all else, make great beer. It’s an idea that now seems commonplace, but at that time, was a departure from the norm.
When we grew, we added more members to our family, many of whom are still with us today.
Our focus is still:
Quality not Quantity.
Our beer has won awards, been traded worldwide, written about by a multitude of writers, and is sought out by beer lovers.
Regardless of our growth, we start with ideas for great beer and brewing first. We’re beer geeks at heart and are willing to try pretty much everything and anything just to prove we can do it.
After 13 years, we’re still here flying the flag of independent craft beer in Winnipeg.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stopped in to take out some beer to sample. I purchased a sample pack and so far I really like 2 out of the 3 I have tried, and the 3rd one wasn't bad. It looks like a nice place to go for a drink with friends as well. I'm not sold on the location for that though.

They also do tours for groups and they support many local businesses/events in the city. The inside has a very casual relaxed atmosphere. They do not serve food but outside food is welcome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Half pints is a great craft brewery I try to stop in every time I am in Winnipeg. They have one of the best flagship beer lineups with stir stick stout and little scrapper ipa. They also have new beers constantly that are a must try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice atmosphere and a great place to grab a quick flight of beer or catch a few games of pinball in the arcade! Knowledgeable staff always ready to answer any beer related question you may have. Definitely would recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent tap room. Small and comfortable with all their regular beers on tap (obviously). Had their seasonal wheat beer which was delicious! Would have liked to see more snacks (chips and salsa? LBJ does it). Will definitely return though. Lots of dedicated bike lanes so if you’re on a bike it’s easy to get to. Lots of bike racks outside the tap room which was a nice touch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Long standing local brewery. I love the ambience of the tap room, and they do have a decent number of beers on tap. My one disappointment is that not everything is available in taster size, which also means not everything is available in a flight. I was not even able to get a small sample of one tap to determine if I wanted to purchase a growler. When I asked I was told it was a hopped lager so the smallest size she could pour was 10oz.
