Welcome to Gummeson's Camp Our camp is the only fishing and hunting resort located on beautiful Mameigwess Lake, just outside of Ignace, Ontario. The camp is accessible by road, only 7 miles west of Ignace and 5 miles north of the Trans-Canada Highway 11/17. It was started over 70 years ago and has remained a family business for over four generations. |  |
A friendly atmosphere and friendly people has always been a cornerstone to our success and brings visitors back year after year.
There are rustic and modern cabins available for any size of group and/or budget. There is also tent camping or you can just drive up and park your RV right next to the lake and hear the loons sing as you fall asleep.
You'll enjoy swimming or relaxing at the lake's sandy beaches and crystal clear water. For the sportsman, there is first class fishing for a variety of species such as lake trout, walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, brook trout and perch. And also small and big game hunting for ruffled grouse, moose and bear.
There is no doubt that you will enjoy your visit to Gummeson's Camp in the heart of Northwestern Ontario's Wilderness. Remember, Reserve Early!
