★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's pretty good, the trail only had about one rough, uneven spot due to the creek flooding it last fall. Creek wasn't high enough yet this Spring to flood, wind was cool coming from south over the lake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love Gruchy's Beach and prefer it to the day use area. It can get busy on holidays or long weekends but on average there's less people at Gruchy's and there's more room to spread out. Our doggo loves it too but be prepared to have a bunch of out-of-control doggos running all over your stuff and shaking water and sand all over your blankets/towels/lawn chairs/food/etc. It happens pretty much every time we go there ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best beach out there. The 1km flat walk in deters most families that you are left with a great young crowd in comparison to the busier atmosphere of Furlong Bay. Nice sandy beach and views are impeccable. Easy to meet people over a game of beach volleyball or hop on a boat that pulls up to shore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best beaches in northern British Columbia. The 20 minute walk on the trail goes through a forested area next to a creek eventually to a sandy beach.
