Fun short hike for the family. Feet do get wet when the weather is warming up during the winter.

Very pretty trail after walking past the first 15 minutes from the parking lot and past the sight of the factory. If you are traveling in the winter, do bring some ice cleats to make it a more enjoyable experience. The first and only bench is a very good photo spot.

This is an easy hike for any age. The path is flat. The canyon walls are spectacular. There is an aboriginal petroglyph about 200 feet from the water fall. At the waterfall is a fossil outcrop in the bedrock. On a hot day this is a cool place to be. In the summer, get there before 10 am because the parking lot fills up. The lot is small. For more adventure continue past the falls, the canyon ends a few hundred feet later, and turns into a meadow. The great flood of 2013 decimated the meadow. It is now a boulder field. I would recommend the hike anyway. There are almost now trees and you will be surrounded my mountains.

Perfect trail for families! Definitely will want microspikes because a good portion of the trail you are walking on ice. Frozen falls are super neat!

This is a great not to hard of a hike.our two 5yr olds made it all by themselves and so can you!...it's about 5 kms. From the trail head...you'll walk for about 10 to 15mins down a cut-line then cut into the Canyon. We were there I'm the winter as you can see, it is recommended that you wear cleats or some sort of grip for you footwear. WE did not have the luxury of that Info prior to our adventure but made it anyways ...not required it's doable without the cleats but probably easier with ....your choice! This Canyon has cave marking dating back 20,000years keep you eyes peeled....how many markings did you see? It's quite level with about a 200 ft rise over the whole trail at the end we got our glory of the frozen waterfalls! If you pack some trail snacks this is a great spot to have them. You might get lucky and catch some local ice climbers in action...Enjoy! Let me know if you found this review helpful?

Great for families or new hikers, dog friendly. The views are breath taking. Go early to avoid the traffic and get parking!!

It was +8 the day we went. Very very very busy. The frozen stream was slush in some spots from foot traffic. Ice cleats helped immensely in some spots. So many great views! Come early, parking is limited!

Grotto Creek Trail, April 18, 2022. Combination of muddy and icy, the snow was quite soft and wet. Still doable, but the YakTrax were pretty necessary for at least the ice by the frozen falls. Missed the pictographs on the way in but spotted them coming out. So cool.
