★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called ahead to ask if they could do a nail trim on my Lab pup, they said to just bring her in, no appointment necessary. The groomer who took her at the door was unprofessional and surly. When I asked if she could clean her ears as well (and told her I would pay for), her answer was a rude " I guess so". She did not ask the pup's name or greet her in any way or make any attempt to put her at ease before working on her. She TOLD me curtly to go browse the store. As she hadn't earned my trust up to that point, I declined her "offer". I saw a small skittish dog whom another groomer couldn't handle and heard the boss (who didn't know I was still at the entrance) tell the groomer what a horrible dog it was and that they always had trouble with it. In fact it was the lack of skill, not the small dog that was the problem. When the owner saw me, she immediately came over and shut the door in my face, saying I was distracting the dogs. I was standing perfectly still and silently. Any dog grooming establishment that can't allow an owner to observe (masked and at a safe distance) how they handle the dogs has no business being in the business. I will not be back nor will I recommend them to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After I moved to Sidney a few months ago, a friend recommended his dogs' groomer of over 10 years, Groom-that-dog, to me. My two dogs, two Mini/Medium Goldendoodles, age 9 and 10, were excited to see me, yet relaxed, when I came to pick them up and the care and attention to their specific details they received was wonderful. Janet was as lovely in person as she was on the phone, always responded right away to texts and calls, and I have no idea what may have prompted the negative comments left by other people. She seems to have the dogs' well-being in mind first and foremost and I already booked my next appointment. Thank you, Janet, I am happy and grateful and the doggos are snoozing right next to me, happy and content.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give 0 stars I would. We had the most horrific experience with Groom that Dog. Our Goldendoodle was slightly overdue for a groom, but he wasn't terribly matter or anything. When we picked him up he was shaved down just about to the skin and was BLEEDING in about a dozen places all over this body. They said he was super well behaved, so I don't think this was his fault in any way. One of his cuts abscessed and resulted in a $1000 vet bill for us. I wrote to tell them what happened and left a voice message and they never responded, did not offer to refund my grooming bill, nothing. Absolutely awful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is a pattern to the reviews for this group. Several are positive but with a rating of 3 stars, many are not. Unfortunately, it is not possible to give a negative score. We dropped our puppy off at 10 AM and the grooming was not complete until 6 PM; 8 hours in a strange place, no food, water but no bathroom break. This is a pattern that is repeated. If you call requesting an update you are scolded for interrupting them and you are charged more. If you think that they care about you or your opinion you are wrong. You are a nuisance to them. It is a shame that there are not more groomers in this part of the Island; this place would be out of business in a month.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Each time we have taken our dog here it has been an excellent experience. You can tell the staff truly love dogs and are working their butts off to get your pooch looking good.
I never leave reviews, but I was shocked to see the 1 star comments and wanted to share my positive experience!
Our dog has never rushed to use the washroom after pickup (I was told he was let outside). I was told in advance he’d be there for most of the day, and that works for me.
You can trust your pet with this company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Caring, Compassionate & Capable - Janet and her team has been caring for our beloved dog for years and can make sharp and chic her curly Golden Doodle coat.
The proof of how good this salon is comes not only from how good our beauty looks when she leaves, tail wagging, but how wagging her tail is when she realizes she's going in for a grooming. To her, grooming appointments are always fun and she leaves us at the gate to the salon, not looking back, clearly happy to have some "spaw-time" for herself.
We cannot recommend Groom That Dog enough.
