★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pleasant park in a small highway farming community (Grindrod). Park is well kept and clean. A fair number of picnic areas provided which is a plus because it promotes family outings. Small sandy beach area. This area of the Shuswap River is shallow, at least it was during my visit. Sand bars on the river, not far off from the beach.
The 4 stars is because people have no respect for public parks and beach areas. The sign says Dogs on Leash, but they do not care and also they fail to pick up after their dog dumps.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to the Grindrod Garlic Festival at Grindrod Park. Lots of great vendors with a variety of handmade products plus lots of fresh garlic for sale.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Garlic fair two weekends ago. Right on the river. Nice change from the city yall. Don't forget to carefully cross the highway and go see chance is the champ at the greenrod pub! Great place to eat also with a view of the river
