The vet Greg is very patient, thorough, and an excellent communicator. Feel confident in their assessments and exams on my pet.

The staff here are excellent and well informative. Weve had the pleasure of having them take care of our teacup chihuahua Cheeko. The whole staff is super friendly and fun to be around. Our little guys had multiple checkups here and been neutered here as well, stayed there overnight with the most amazing care, and while he was there for surgery, they contacted us non stop to assure us he was doing well, and being brave. I cant thank these people enough for what they do, not only for our little guy, but for everyone elses family companions! Highly recommend the grimsby animal hospital!

I called to ask about the cost to spay a rabbit and was advised that their veterinarian who does the spaying suggests NOT to spay a female rabbit unless it will be around a male. Unspayed female rabbits are likely (85 or so %) to develop uterine cancer by the age of 5 (many by the time they are 2) if they are not spayed. I was then told most don't live that long. Correct. Because they die from cancer from the poor advice you are giving. That was the most irresponsible advice I have ever heard from a vet's office. If you plan on getting a female bunny please, please get her spayed. All rabbits from local shelters come spayed or neutered. Please adopt if you can. Well cared for rabbits often live 10-12 years! I will never go to this clinic for rabbit care. I am still in shock at what I was told. As a side point, I was told the spay fee is $708 - the most expensive by $88 of 5 vets I called between St. Catharines and Hamilton that are highly experienced in spaying rabbits.

When we lost our boy to cancer they were extremely kind and caring. They were not clinical towards us. They cared for us just as much as they cared for our boy.

I tried to transfer my dog here as a new client as I just relocated to Grimsby. I ordered a prescription food from them and was charged $50 more on a bag for $100 compared to what both my previous vets charged. I tried to ask for clarification on this. I also asked why I was told previously that I would usually need a vet visit prior to being put on the food when the girl on the phone today told me differently. Again, I was just asking for clarification on the differences in the information provided to me. I was told that it was clear that this hospital was not the right fit for me and that they were going to close my file. For simply asking a question about the rates that they charged and clarifying the different information they told me!. The person who dealt with me today was incredibly rude and I will not be returning here for any services. Maybe they are a good vet, I wouldn’t know, but the way they treat paying costumers is really inappropriate.

I am proud to say that my Cat is a patient at Grimsby Animal Hospital. Dr. Oliver is a fantastic vet! He takes the time to explain the different options and offers his opinions based on the matters at hand. He is extremely well mannered & you can feel his passion for the animals he cares for. My old man JJ seems to like the attention he gets when he is brought to the clinic and I’ve been told he demands his head be scratched by the lovely staff.

We had to put our beloved 15 year old Golden Retriever, Zoe, down just before Christmas. She had received excellent care at Grimsby Animal Hospital all her life from Drs. Davis and then Dr. Cline, and then Dr Peters. Her final needs were met by Dr Oliver as Dr Peters was away. Throughout Zoe's life all the staff showed a level of care and just plain interest in our dog and our relationship with her. Followup phone calls were always initiated by staff after minor and major procedures. Two way email communication was available for additional concerns, sometimes outside regular hours when the situation called for it (a privilege that we did not abuse). During Zoe's final months the level of care and compassion offered to Zoe and us was extraordinary. We have heard people comment that care at Grimsby Animal Hospital is expensive. It is within 'industry' limits but you cannot put a price on this level of care, especially when it comes to a family member. Thank you to all the staff! Jan, Peter and family
