★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super disappointed in the Saturday special. I wanted schnitzel for my birthday and the Griffin was highly recommended for my husband to take me too. Needless to say when we showed up with friends for my birthday dinner the schnitzel special was baked beans and cheese ! Are you for real? Even the nice waitress seemed disappointed in the combo and said the head “sous chef” was in charge of coming up with this monstrosity. Luckily I had the regular one that was on the menu . Little salty but ok . Time to send your chef back to school and teach them how NOT to butcher a good thing . Waitress and the lovely lady that rang us through at the bar were the only reason I gave one star. ??♀️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for a beer. The Griffin Pub is located near the end of the runway at the Comox air force base. The decor features photos and memorabilia of air force Squadrons and planes. It also has lots of dart boards and a pool table. The menu is pub food - burgers, ribs, soup, etc. I enjoyed the seafood chowder. Friendly service

As we needed a place where we could bring the dogs this was perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Griffin is a great local pub with very friendly staff. They have a large outdoor patio for the sunny weather and a great selection of local beer and cider. Always a pleasure to stop in for a pint, some food and maybe even a little name that tune!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food and service. I had the breaded chicken burger with Swiss cheese and sauteed mushrooms with fries and gravy, and my hubby got the deep-fried pickles. Both highly recommended! I already can't wait for next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this place. Independently run The Griffin is a real slice of the local life and an important community hub. Good pub grub, decent wine menu and great beer are guaranteed, as is warm, no nonsense hospitality. The interior is authentic and traditional with a beautifully curated aviation theme that proudly boasts the rich history of the local military training grounds. There’s plenty of parking and a lovely pub garden. Well worth a visit.
